BIOGRAPHIE :

Magnum Band est un groupe musical de kompa haïtien fondé en 1976 par André "Dadou" Pasquet, ancien musicien du groupe « Tabou Combo », et Claude "Tico" Pasquet.

En 1997, il représente Haïti lors du premier festival de musique créole à la Dominique. 

Au fil de ses tournées en Guadeloupe, en France, au Canada et aux États-Unis, le Magnum Band participe à la promotion du compas haïtien, et affermit son empreinte en faisant preuve d'un professionnalisme très apprécié par ses fans.

Le groupe a fêté son trentenaire en juin 2006. Le style de compas haïtien interprété par le Magnum Band est catégorié « old school ».

Il n'empêche que le groupe est une véritable institution musicale, élément phare du compas haïtien.

Il a jadis intégré des musiciens tels que : Jean Almatas, Roland Cameau, Nasser Chery, Essud Fundcap, Jean Robert Narcisse, Yvon Mondésir, Varnel Pierre, Waag Lalanne, Ernst Gabriel.

Le groupe poursuit sa carrière, bénéficiant des talents des musiciens suivants:

Dominique is a native of Paris, France with native roots from the islands of Haiti and Martinique. He comes from a line of talented musicians such as his grandfathers and his father. 
Dominique is a self-taught musician who began playing the drums at the age of 7.  At the age 15, his introduction into the genre of Latin music took birth while he learned to play the bongos with the different bands in which his father performed.
Dominique performed for Septime Weber, Artistic Director of the Washington Ballet with his choreography “Juanita y Alicia” on a tour of many U.S. cities. Over the course of his musical career, he has performed for more than 250,000 people varying in festivals, concerts, private events throughout some of the U.S., as well as Puerto Rico, El Salvador and Mexico.
Dominique has also lent his musical skills on several TV and radio jingles and he proudly endorses Los Cabos drumsticks, Soultone cymbals, Attack Drumheads and Side Kick Drums.
Dominique is currently a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and an associate member of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (LARAS) for the Grammy Pro D.C. Chapter.
Dominique is currently working on producing his first CD project.

Fan de musique européenne ( EDM : Electro / Dance), de musique caribéenne (Zouk,Kompa, Traditionnelle, Soca, Dance-hall, Salsa, Bachata) mais aussi Angolaise (Kizomba, Semba, Tarraxxo).

En activité sur les animations et événementiels depuis 20 ans (Festival, Soirée privée, Clubing ...).

Avec une formation sanctionner par un dîplome d'état de DJ producteur reçus a DJ Network L'école des DJ et du SON sur Paris, Lovelace te fais découvrir sa passion et sa couleur musicale à travers ses créations mixtapes et remix.
