Love Love continues the new LOVLTD series with ‘A Mirror Touch’ by Klotang, a collaborative work by young producers Klahrk and Otang that dives deep into the hardcore continuum pulling out huge chunks of authentic euphoria. This is rugged and raw old skool hardcore with some truly iconic rave moments, crafted with a fresh perspective - a must have for DJs intent on keeping the vibe alive.

The EP kicks off with ‘Tritium’ a whistling old skool number opening with rumbling subs before the turbo kicks in about a third of the way through. The in-yer-face rave attack vibe gives way to dreamy pads as the track continues perfect for early morning sunrise in the dance. ’Hells Bells’ is a grimier affair hinting more towards modern influences before a 180 degree midpoint switch-up settles on a stomping ’91 era rave rhythm. The final track on the A side, ‘Hyperthruster’, is big sub mover, propelled by a skanking break and vocal chops throughout, laced with darkside ‘ardcore stabs.

As the tempos continue to increase through the EP, cheeky B-side opener ‘Pressure’ brings the old skool fun. A fast and furious dance workout complete with bass bonks and synth squirts. B2, ‘Funland To Dockland’, is a piano driven vintage happy hardcore anthem pulled straight from the early 90s, whilst Rognvald amps up the choppage and takes it up in tempo for the remix on B3. 6 crucial tracks of killer rave material coming complete with artwork by East London graffiti legends Check & Race from A.W.E. [All World Experts].

Klotang - Tritium

Long time collaborators Meat Beat Manifesto (Jack Dangers) & DHS (Benjamin Stokes) get together on fresh new 12” EP ‘Man From Mantis’. Both artists have rich musical histories, Dangers having released an extensive collection of music as MBM since the late 80s including pre-hardcore/jungle breakbeat touchstones (Helter Skelter/Radio Babylon) & late 90s masterpiece ‘Prime Audio Soup’, released on Trent Reznor’s Nothing Records and recognisable from its use in The Matrix. Stokes on the other hand has a smaller back catalogue but no less influential, having been responsible for all-time-classic foundational techno blueprint ‘House of God’.

Dangers & Stokes have always played around beyond the edges of the familiar and this EP is no different: 4 tracks of breakbeat techno future-sound that live in a world of their own. ‘Pandemic’ opens the EP with squeaky-clean mechanical acid, intentional and direct, tight and well-controlled, underpinned by a revolving, bubbling acid line. ‘Aggressive Mantis Squad’ comes bearing weighted breaks and hinterland bleeps, spanning the past and the future. B-Side opener ‘Automatic Mouth’ is a twisting chugger, occasionally breaking down to reveal a whirring & stuttering machine-spirit before the EP closes with the drum-fest dream sequence of ‘International Sound System’.

Sonically the EP could be described as hi-resolution psychedelic drum n bass as much as it could alien future-jazz, detailed and rich with mad grooves just beneath the surface. Structurally the tracks are unpredictable but not jarring, with a free-flowing quality to them and a pace that feels like meandering at lightspeed. Way too immersive for casual listening, this is music for getting lost in the stars. Like using arcane beat science at a ruffneck hippy drum circle to astral project through space.

To kick-off our first foray into the CD world we present to you a double CD compilation brimming with a wonderfully eclectic selection of forward-thinking music from some of our favourite artists. Taken from all manner of musical circles, this collection of sounds goes a long way to representing every facet of the label's influence and output. Artists we've been working with from the origins of the label and artists we will be releasing far more of in the future sit alongside each other on one release, providing a perfect entry point to the Love Love experience.

All too often variety is hard to find in a singular release, so we have collected together 36 tracks, from 36 artists, into one easily accessible source. Electronic sound experiments sit snugly alongside fine-tuned club constructions and good old fashioned pop music, some fresh and some dug out of forgotten hard drives. Solid nuggets of aural pleasure have been selected; Lakker's inspired ethereal bass music, rugged amplified tracks from Buddy Lee Dickens and H.O.O.F, Ultrademon's OG Seapunk sound, Beatwife's frantic acid sprawl, Scrase's warm melodicism, Valance Drake's glitch mastery, a charged slice from london warehouse hero Ely Muff, FFF's jungle wizardry, digital brutality from Duran Duran Duran collaborating with the elusive Xanopticon, some future wisdom from Goodiepal - the aarhaus warrior and a truly beautiful wandering track from Anklepants, to name but a few.

This release provides a reflection of the musical diversity that we strive to provide. In order to make it completely accessible, the compilation can be downloaded in 320kbps mp3 and WAV formats for free, as well as being available in the form of a very limited double digipack CD.

Providing a state-of-the-art rejuvenation of 90s ambient house, the 'Heart' EP (the first in a 2-part 'set' of records) serves as a fluent example of the lighter side of Greg Scrase's previously little-known, but masterfully honed craft – here paying homage to the past greats of electronica, drawing together different threads of influence and applying them to his own colourful sonic palette. The 12” contains 3 exquisite original tracks that bubble and grow with a vibrant analogue charm, imbued with Scrase's house-ier tendencies and melodic capabilities - backed-up by a very special remix of 'Flyover' from like-minded acid aficionado Dave Monolith (under the moniker MNLTH). 

The title track, 'Heart', opens the EP with timeless melodies that organically intertwine, drawing back the curtain to reveal a plethora of intricately coalescing layers. With a unique balance of rough and clean a delicate sense of faltering euphoria is created, as augmented vocal swells washed in reverb swim among sparkling synths and broken pianos, driven firmly along by robust kicks and claps. The track moves through shifting sonic pastures, littered with resonant waves and ripples, culminating in a peak that can only be described as epic, before the A-side closes with the palette-cleansing ambient revolutions of 'Ice Exploration Party'. On the B-side 'Flyover' picks up where 'Heart' left off, stylistically similar to the title track in its essence, whilst possessing a more majestic feeling - the harmonies confident and the form cohesive. Commencing with a solid beat underpinned by a repeating fog horn-like pulse, streams of soaring voices reach out to trace dreamy outlines of billowing structures, tying together the elements of the track with a blissful simplicity. Monolith's remix of 'Flyover' sees him build upon the euphoric elements of the original, re-interpreting the track as a lush electronic pop classic in his trademark style - blending slick acid and catchy melodies with a subtle poignancy.

Rognvald, aka Richard Wilson, returns at full throttle with part 2 of 'The New Selecta'. Rognvald’s unique future-old skool sound continues to evolve in this release, the third 12" in his WIFE series. You will travel into unknown subterranean territory with ‘The New Selecta’, exploring the limits of break choppage and granular sound design on a loved and familiar soundscape, as well as 2 dread filled cuts of swampy ambient reductions. 

Using a minimal sound palette to maximal effect, Rognvald deconstructs and abstracts the tropes of old skool jungle. Blending blunted breaks with burrowing subatomic sinewaves, euphoric rave vocals lead to a nuclear ruffneck ecstacy. 

The future of jungle is yet to come....

Oliver is an electronic evangelist and founding member of chameleonic cyberjazz group Badun, created in Århus, Denmark, but often found tuning in and out of the space-time hyperlink. John who needs no introduction at this point makes his first appearance on the label since widely-lauded 2020 album ‘Undesignated Proximate’ and follow-up 2022 remix project which featured an array of peers such as Skee Mask, Djrum, Meat Beat Manifesto and Equinox.

Love Love host a collaborative release by two of the freshest contemporary Avon producers, Best Pest and Kursa. Kursa (also one half of S.Murk) has built a notable following in the UK as well as in the USA, playing out often at big stateside events with his own style of tight, maximalist bass music - think Tipper, Eprom, Noisia etc… Ben Pest is no stranger to Love Love with 2 previous solo releases under his belt, best known for his crunchy techno & electro and ripping hardware live-sets. Here they come together for a 5 track genre-hopping EP, each flexing their respective production sensibilities, splicing elements of dubstep, grime, hardcore & garage together, along with a healthy dose of multi-dimensional sound design, to make some of the noisiest modern dance music going.

Opening track ‘Hide Rate’ takes the shape of mutated future garage that glides forwards effortlessly before breaking down midway with expansive sub-nautical melodies. ‘Lard Style’ invites fellow Bristolian musician Fat Dave (Scheme Boy) along for an absolutely slamming acid breaks affair with one of the cheekiest grooves to ever bother a subwoofer. The A-side closes with ‘Having An Obnoxious Moment’, a furious clattering ‘ardcore piece with heavy nods to early noughties grime that pushes the dial way past 11. A track so hard it’ll knock your Kangol off and make you wonder what year it is. The B-Side focuses more on half-time rhythms with ‘Big Square Wheels’ providing more than enough grit & glitch for any extraterrestrial bass addict, whilst closer ‘Totally Kippered’ explores some seriously skronked out, spooky low frequencies.

A slick 3 tracker featuring two original tracks from dgoHn and a remix from long-standing label friend Scrase. This record proves a worthy addition to his rich back catalogue standing alongside previous releases on labels such as Subtle Audio and Rephlex. Both tracks solidly look to the future with their meticulous sci-fi style but are still sure to leave the rudeboys crotch grabbing in appreciation, while Scrase delivers a high octane remix of the title track manipulating the original elements to create a dynamic drumfunk epic with an acute attention to sub-bass.

Those who are aware of dgoHn will by now be familiar with his sound and those who aren’t should be. Back with his third single on Love Love, the drum maestro makes skin prickle once again with two shining original tracks laced with impeccable moments. Only dgoHn can create the kind of drum and bass that sounds like the tightest of ensembles playing meticulously rehearsed arrangements, painting intricate shapes with the percussion. 
 
The title track takes a fresh look at the amen break, finding ways to breathe new life into it. Soaring above the clouds on thick warm pads the drums thunder with a blissful rage, propelled forwards by a rumbling bassline. On the B-side ‘Dooky’ serves up a dgoHn masterclass in spatial control that could well be a future-classic of his. A formidable groove with serious punch, hi-hats skip along as the delicate balance of frequencies gives the listener just enough headspace not to get lost in the deep, dark world it creates. A subtle demonstration of tension and release, this single floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee whilst dripping with funk.
 
Lastly, Rognvald switches up the title track with a jam that triples the edits and doubles the bass, tipping the scales from the side of restraint to that of chaos without losing the feel of the original. Artwork once again provided by Colin ‘Snublic’ McCallister.

Hellfish and Bryan Fury, the Axe Gabba Murda Mob, are two of the biggest innovators in hardcore techno. Both have been pushing the genre in all kinds of directions for over two decades providing the pulse for thousands of parties around the globe. So with this in mind, we are honoured to present ‘Baby Eaters’, an earth shaking joyride to the very edge of the human psyche and beyond. 

The eponymous A-side strikes terror into the hearts of men, splitting brain cells like atoms with destructive chain reactions of radical distortion and soul-stripping screams. Pure demonic catharsis, sound frequencies don’t get more violent than this. The B side ‘Acid Abyss’ is an LSD stained hardcore techno anthem where eerily cold voices are strangled by crunchy bellowing kick drums and bleeding 303s. Despite still being cranked up, the precision of the fills in this track offsets the chaotic kicks of the A-side, coming off almost subtle in comparison. This single comes lovingly housed with artwork by the wonderful Jim’ll’Paint it, depicting the deadly duo conducting some rather grizzly research in their underworld studio.

Precision electro-acid house? Bass-injected rumble techno? Call it what you want, this new 12” from Si Begg perfectly shows off this legendary UK producer’s hold on sonic manipulation.

Recording music since ’93, Si’s catalogue of music has always pushed the boundaries of dance movements of the day: electro, breaks, garage, bass, techno and almost everything else. With a weird and wide-ranging career that includes a 2004 Peel Session and music put out alongside Tipper and Neil Landstrumm on labels like Tresor, Fuel and Novamute, Begg has proven himself as one of the true greats of the sound. Focussing his career on TV and film in recent years has meant a slow-down in the rate of bangers making their way outside of Begg’s studio but ‘400 Million Pieces of You’ shows that they are still very much being made, and are perhaps bigger than ever in their magnitude.

A side track ‘P1 Tek 2 Neu Anfang’ takes the form of a subaquatic acid monster with a bubbling urgency coursing through its veins. The Drexcyian inflection is clear as tracks ‘Elektronisch For Pleasure’ and ‘P1 Voltage 2 Repeater’ take the full plunge into a fizzing electro sea. While the trance-like ‘When We Were Young’ harks back to a more hedonistic time the robofunk grooves found on ‘400 million Pieces of You’ still sound like they’re from the future.

Ruby My Dear - Altaïr [LOVWAX10 CLIPS]

Rognvald returns with his third installment of The New Selecta series and things are starting to get lively!
Overall it’s much more breakneck affair than the previous two editions with four more offerings of drum fuelled future-old skool.

Kicking things off with ‘Hakon’, with it’s smoke-stained sample abuse and distorted urban atmospherics reminiscent of mid-noughties London squat parties, before sliding into the sexed up R’n’B grooves of ‘Foreshaddow’.
On the flip side, ‘Earldom Pollywax’ flexes rave euphoria against a platter of chopped amens and brooding reese basslines.
The EP closes with ‘Depot Drum’ featuring Morris Wotherspoon on vocal and Irish bodhrán drum duties, and is perhaps Richards darkest work to date with rhythms of doom summoning lysergic demons into the rave.
