While I've been working more on a nice and easy hip hop instrumental lately, the "chocopop" showed up while i used my itunes in library in random mode.
Somehow I felt like doing something new and I gave him some new drums, percussions, some instruments and efx.

The ever-dependable 'Katakana Edits' series rolls on, and while this latest installment might not win PECOE any deep diggin' brownie points, it does pack some very serviceable dancefloor-friendly reworks of classic cuts from days gone by. Leading the charge for this reviewer is 'Ice & Snow', which does unspeakable but very satisfactory things to Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song', but elsewhere you get a fresh take on 'Jingo', 'Grandmaster Mash' fuses 'White Lines' with chunks of the rap from 'The Message', while 'Bold Sister' revisits James Brown's 'Bold Soul Sister' - leaving only the 60s deep funk source for 'You Can't Hide' unidentified.

BBP is back with another compilation, and this time we&rsquo;re going all summer on it. Paradise Lounge is designed for all aspects of summer. Be it in the Lounge bar, chill-out area or the dancefloor, this compilation provides for all, and kicks off with a bang.
Two awesome producers combine forces for the intro track, and we know we&rsquo;re in for a party, when Crash Party &amp; Boydex get together. They&rsquo;re bringing back those feels of the breakdancing days with &lsquo;Rescue Me&rsquo;, that will be sure to get for feet tapping, both on the sofa and on the dancefloor. The same goes for Bright Idea, who knows his chilled vibes, yet is a funky brother, and hasn&rsquo;t disappointed with this, smooth down-tempo house number call &lsquo;Fun at the Disco&rsquo;. Up next is a man that needs absolutely no introduction. You hear the name Pecoe, and you know instantly you&rsquo;re in for something good with &lsquo;Need a Friend&rsquo;. A rolling bassline, riffing guitars, and more soulful vocals, that changes up to keep you wanting more. Yet again he hits the mark. It&rsquo;s a pleasure getting this next artist on yet another BBP compilation, as we know we will be getting something great. Jayl Funk has read the vibe perfectly with &lsquo;She is Hot&rsquo; and is an ideal fit for this compilation, with a track filled with summer vibes, you can enjoy in all settings.
Next up is Gramophone Soul, who should be a name synonymous with quality, and yet again the man delivers. His remix of this classic, &lsquo;Trouble&rsquo; fits in anywhere, be it at the festival, the club, or just in the chillout area. A rising star in the edit and remix of classics scene, is the man like LROY. After delivering a stormer of a tune for the very successful Boot of Paradise compilation, he&rsquo;s back with a Boom and a Bap!! Getting super soulful with &lsquo;Soul Break&rsquo;, you get exactly what it says on the tin... Soul and a badass break!
Last up, is a new guy on the scene, going by KaKaow. This guy is a musical talent, using live instruments, and combining them to compose a super funky little number called &lsquo;Shimmer&rsquo;, that makes you reminisce back to those 80&rsquo;s funk days.

Bombstrikes continues to expand its musical horizons via their growing series of expertly curated compilation albums with this, the first volume of Disco Funkin'. For a label so at home in all things Funk related, it was always going to be something special when they added Disco to their focus whilst of course keeping the funk very much at the core. And who better to curate the first album than the fast rising stars Shaka Loves You. Having gained the Craig Charles seal or approval on air many times and also supporting legends such as the Jacksons and The Sugarhill Gang, the Glasgow duo have already shown their pedigree for such music. As recent releases from the Shaka boys show, they are carving out their own sound within the scene and always deliver music of the highest quality.

The duo's skills at seeking out killer grooves are very much on show here with the album's track listing reading like a 'who's who' of the scene. Avoiding the obvious route and disco cliches, the pair have assembled an exquisite range of music spanning across many elements of forward thinking disco and funk. Featuring a selection of album exclusives including new material from the boys them selves, there are also some stone cold classics and new discoveries from the likes of Dimitri From Paris, The Reflex, Kraak & Smaak, Lack of Afro and Sebastian.
