Scherzo for Typewriters is a piece by Thee I’s that stirred their hearts and minds—they felt it was calling out for a narrative voice. I was delighted to accept the challenge, as I felt the same while listening. By a stroke of luck, I already had a narration written and recorded back in July—originally for my ongoing Soundcloud collaboration with Garben, which has produced many tracks. Although that narration didn’t find its place in Garben’s music, it patiently waited for the right song. When Thee I’s reached out, it became clear: ‘Scherzo for Typewriters’ was the perfect match. Everything clicked—all in one late, late night, just hours after I received their DM. Love is in need today, so to say.

I was looking at old photos of a town gathering in the 1800s for a lynching. I was struck at the carnival atmosphere, the presence of all kinds of people, women and children. This is disturbing but very real and it is NOT confined to America,the South but instead is a sad global problem with religions and "God". Too often I think religions are excuses to commit some of the most awful  human atrocities . Religions,like leader cults(nazis/emperorsetc), seem to blind masses into justifying the slaughter  of the enemy of the day. God in most religions preached tolerance/forgiveness/inclusion and yet these fundamental principles are conveniently forgotten when it comes time to fulfill some self serving goal, monetary/territorial or ego. I wish I knew why
