Whitelabrecs was set up by Harry Towell in late 2015 as another outlet to put out experimental electronic/acoustic music. It followed Harry’s previous labels Audio Gourmet, Tessellate and Warehouse Decay and focuses on a collectable series of highly limited edition vinyl-effect CDr packaging, with the first 50 releases influenced by white label vinyl records. The label also runs a digital only series called eRecords, with each of these releases including a special PDF booklet.

I create mixes that are usually ambient in nature. Each mix usually has a theme, 'sleep music', 'autumn', 'piano', 'stargazing', 'the sea', 'sci-fi', etc. The sounds include modern classical, field recordings, electro-acoustic, drone, glitch, idm, electronic, instrumental, space, experimental and of course ambient.

In the ’90s, a move to the UK brought Lateral Movement into the heart of a vibrant music culture, where he explored a wide range of genres, from free jazz to indietronica. Returning to Portugal meant leaving behind that diversity, which led him to focus on supporting alternative music scenes and connecting with others who shared similar values. Over time, this turned into a personal journey of discovering and sharing music. Today, his passion lies in the deeper, hypnotic sides of techno, where ambience and atmosphere take the lead.
