'The latest release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is a scintillating package, which brings together two titans of the progressive scene. The EP features two progressive house legends; Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren alongside their collaborators Soundexile and Nicolas Rada. They have both remixed tracks taken from the most recent Hicky & Kalo EP 'Borealis'.

It's been quite a ride for Hicky & Kalo in the last 18 months. The young duo have made a name for themselves in the progressive house scene with a string of quality releases, including a collaboration with Seth Schwarz and releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat and Cid Inc's label Replug. In the meantime, they were remixed by both Rodriguez Jr. and Sahar Z. The reaction to their latest EP 'Borealis' was quite something and the title track was even in the Top 100 Beatport Progressive House for 67 days.

With this powerhouse remix EP now on the way, it is surely the cherry on top of a momentous last 18 months. We hope you enjoy it!'

'Already an iconic figure in the underground dance fraternity, Dmitry Molosh now takes another leap forward with the creation of his Proportion record label. Created as vehicle to showcase the Belarusian’s extraordinary talent alongside an array of high-profile and rising names, Proportion launches with an eponymously titled EP with an original track from Dmitry himself plus a remix from Finnish legend, Cid Inc.

Dmitry Molosh has presided over a stellar career path. Rising rapidly to global prominence from his Belarus home, Dmitry has witnessed a steep upwards trajectory where his music has reached out across nation boundaries, engaging listeners with a distinctive, powerful and forward-thinking sound. Over 500 production credits can thus be credited to the Dmitry Molosh name as he continues to find his musical talents in considerable demand. Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Gai Barone’s Afterglow, Nick Warren’s Hope and Cid Inc.’s Replug have all showcased the Belarusian’s distinctive sound, while US leviathan Proton Music has also featured an array of original and remix material. Supported by the DJ glitterati that include Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Khen, alongside the celebrated label heads, Dmitry Molosh now opens his account on Proportion.

The title track of the same name is a stunning affair. Redolent in the trademark characteristics that have made him such a sought-after producer, a chest-thumping kick anchors a glorious, head-shaking bass groove and woodblock percussion. Ticking hi-hats add to the collage as a beautifully imagined synth motif filters its way across the 8-minute piece. A further bassline adds weight and dynamism before a stripped back breakdown creates a gateway for a rousing crescendo of white-noise and pitched effects. These then pave the way for the sultry bassline cadence and synth line so prominent in the early stages, to work their magic once more in the second half.

Cid Inc. require little introduction to the underground dance faithful. A legendary figure for two decades, the Finnish star has been responsible for entertaining audiences around the world with his immaculately crafted DJ sets while creating some the finest moments in modern electronic music history. Seeing his work featured on legion luminary imprints that includes the likes Lost & Found, Einmusika JEE Productions and Sudbeat Music, the latter saw Dmitry Molosh & Cid Inc. join forces on August 2021’s “Impending Storm” to devastating effect. Cid Inc.’s own Replug label has also been a potent vehicle for his own music while furthering the musical careers of a plethora of other artists who have gone on to become dominant forces in the global dance music arena.

An esteemed music engineer and renowned producer, the Cid Inc. remix of “Proportion” is characterised by an intricate and dynamic percussive groove that propels the track forward. Accompanied by a hypnotic bassline sequence and similarly mesmerising arpeggio, melodic elements for the original ripple to the fore in a sublime atmospheric collage. Smooth pads and white-noise flourishes build before falling away to a spine-tingling drop, as the rhythmic and bassline foundation provide a club-friendly closing section.'

The latest release from Higher States finds label boss Roger Martinez back in the spotlight with a new EP. With a career now spanning well over a decade, the Dutch artist’s transcendent style has long been a favourite of the world’s top DJs. Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sasha have all been steadfast supporters over the years and remain as progressive music continues to evolve. The genre’s most highly regarded imprints have also served as landing spots for Roger’s hypnotizing sounds, with Lost & Found, Replug and Sudbeat sitting prominently on his resume. More recent outings via Days Like Nights and meanwhile have also delighted fans and tastemakers, ultimately leading Roger back to his comfortable home of Higher States with ‘Euphoria / Love Sphere’.

Beginning with ‘Euphoria’ Roger flexes his free thinking muscles and crafts a fantastical journey across a vivid electronic cosmos. Shot in high-definition and full of detail and idiosyncrasies, Roger reaffirms his instinctive ability to tip a dancefloor over the edge, planting multiple explosions of serotonin through spectral synths, haunting chord stabs and wispy effects, before confidently melting down into a stylish interlude. The inevitable zenith of this joyous excursion mounts with shape-shifting layers and charming melodies converging, achieving a rich, enticing timbre over a bed of pulsating beats and fascinating percussion.

The companion piece ‘Love Sphere’ impresses further with its buoyant energy and vivacious storyboard. Warm, full and incredibly fluid, it’s capsizing groove and rhythmic pulses are transcendent, building momentum as hazy melodies delight with their fuzzy charm. Expediting the journey are layers of mesmerizing percussion and trailing effects, uniting for a hypnotizing drawl leading into a cosmic break, which ultimately preludes a groove-centric finish. With some of progressive music’s most memorable tracks already sitting on Roger’s resume, ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Love Sphere’ once again follow suit, landing with style and emotion, setting the course for one of the summer seasons most in demand releases. A stellar career within the electronic music industry has seen Jamie Stevens rise to the very top of his profession. Making his full Meanwhile EP debut, the 3-track "Circles" continues his illustrious story.

A double ARIA winning artist with iconic live act, Infusion, Jamie Stevens' solo career is no less impressive. A veteran of the global DJ circuit with performances at Womb (Tokyo), Fabric (London) and across his native Australia and Melbourne hometown, Stevens has continued to see productions feature regularly in the upper echelons of the progressive house chart.

With almost 400 production credits to his name, Dave Seaman's Selador, John Digweed's Bedrock and Guy J's Lost and Found have all played host to the unique Jamie Stevens sound on multiple occasions as he continues to go from strength to strength. A meticulous approach to his production work and unrivalled attention to detail is coupled with a wider ability to see the bigger musical picture and his music infused with warm tonality and rich rhythmic patterns.

Returning to Meanwhile after a remix of Roger Martinez's "Cosmic Drum" in late 2020, the "Circles" title track is characterised by a pounding club-friendly beat, while shades of Giorgio Moroder shimmer through the percussive groove and syncopated melodic elements. Building in hypnotic patterns, vocal shouts and a liberal sprinkling of reverse reverb effects and white-noise washes, join forces in a glorious harmony to create a typically impressive body-shaking floor-filler.

The aptly titled "Storm Front" quickly emerges with a subtle tension imbued within it. Continuing on the same mesmerising footing as its predecessor, an immaculately crafted groove, redolent in sub-bass and off-beat percussive roll, powers through the 8-minute timeframe. Subtly synthesised and reverb drenched vocal cuts shimmer across the upper-range throughout, making their presence fully felt at the breakdown before the driving elemental force of the central groove drops back into place through the seething third movement.

The final musical image of the sonic triptych has a softer musical vibe brought about by a swathe of complementary harmonic phrases. A beautiful central motif marries elegantly with a smooth vocoded vocal that gently sings the "Stuck on a Feeling" title. Rising and falling with ease Stevens evokes a warm summer evening vibe with his beautiful arrangement. Where the opening pair of tracks hypnotized through powerful rhythmic structures, the final track oozes spellbinding warmth with its glittering array of analogue synth phrasing.

Three "Circles" find Jamie Stevens drawing a vivid sonic picture that elegantly shows the logical relation between rhythm, melody and energy in a precise musical Venn diagram.

Tripswitch’s ONEDOTSIXTWO unveils its first release of 2019 as it continues to seek out and feature the finest world-class talent within the global underground progressive house scene. The label’s highly impressive 10th release shines a spotlight on the dynamic creativity of rising Argentinian DJ/Producer Antrim, who follows his remix of Griffin Paisley’s ‘Sunspots’ (ODST0009) with his own 2-tracker. This package is further boosted by a superb set of remixes courtesy of fellow Argentinian rising-star Nicolas Rada, and one of Egypt’s most promising rising DJ/Producers, the inimitable Black 8.

‘Missing Words’ is a masterfully subtle and uniquely enthralling creation. Its relaxed, carefully arranged, hypnotic, melodic beauty marks Antrim out as being ahead of the curve. Indeed, whilst also running and releasing on his own Or Two Strangers imprint, Antrim has built a reputation for developing a highly individualistic cutting edge sound, incorporating both deep and progressive influences, and seen him impress with a steady flow of recent releases on the likes of Sudbeat, Future Sound Of Egypt, Dreamers and Particles. Remix duties for ‘Experiments’ fall to Cairo-based Black 8, considered to be one of Egypt’s most promising rising DJ/Producers. Adding a distinctive driving pulse to proceedings, Black 8 ups the energy levels and launches his own soaring masterpiece, sparkling and fizzing with smile-inducing anthemic attitude throughout.

Nicolas Rada is another rising star emerging from the excellent Argentinian scene and making a huge impression right now. His love of Radiohead originally opened him up to dance music and over the last 10 years he has quietly built a head of steam through his productions, enabling him to count his heroes - Danny Howells, John Digweed and Nick Warren - among an ever-growing army of admirers. After last years hit remix of Lowbit owner Sonic Union and his collaboration with Bastards of Funk on 'The Firefly Dance' we immediately reached out to get him to do something on Lowbit and 'Off World' EP is the result. 

The eponymous 'Off World' is a deep and hypnotic track with heavy influences from Blade Runner with its stylish and moody melodic pads. The second track in the EP, 'Sound of Mind' has a much lighter vibe with its bouncier bassline, lush pads, and forward driving percussion.
