Of Norway is the latest house outfit to step up to the vital Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings with a new EP of rich grooves.

Of Norway is Vegard “Lil’“ Wolf Dyvik and Christian Steenstrup, who are well known on the Norwegian scene and are now building up their name internationally with releases and remixes on esteemed labels such as Connaisseur, Darkroom Dubs, & Hope and Soma. They have a wide range of styles in their arsenal as this EP proves.

Sunflower pairs majestic and exotic melody sounds with a nice loose and organic groove. Wonky organs dance over the slick beats and bring a really fresh atmosphere. Scheffeli then has heavy drums that are raw and live-sounding with hypnotic synth leads wiggling through the mix next to drum fills and melodic hooks. Burnt Sienna is then a transcendental cut with airy chords that lift you off your feet, as the supple drums heighten the mood.

This is another big step up for this pair.

As the sky lightened up behind the DJ booth and the sun rays came through the forest, Borak took La Familia community to an even more magical journey that spanned decades of music.

His broad spectrum of tunes and selection of beats kept the crowd moving and the smiles coming. Friends would simply look at each other, look at Borak and nod in agreement that this is just pure magic. The funky electro beats, the 70s disco and the various oriental / eastern motifs engaged the crowd and provided an immense listening pleasure. The Afro house towards the end was the culmination of the mystical and spiritual journey experience.

We hope that this set will bring you back to the whimsical forest of the Lost City on that wonderful Sunday morning.
