@vlknzr VLKN is a dj based in Istanbul. His real name is Volkan.
As he averages adolescence, he fanatically discovers electronic sounds. After listening, dancing and vibrating with the beats of electronic music, he decided to insert himself fully into the universe of the trays back in 2003. For some years now VLKN has used vinyl as the preferred format for his presentations. He believes, that it is the most noble and beautiful format to be able to transmit what flows from within when making a set. “No Dress (Modulor Acid Mix)” is the latest single by The People’s Dance Collective featuring vocals by Melbourne/Naarm’s own Modular (Olivas).

This acid soaked version of “No Dress” features waves of 303 energy, distorted perceptions of time and heightened levels of euphoria. A stripped back lo fi house beat provides a concrete foundation for a dance floor weapon.

There is a clear nod to MS Kittin and the Hacker in this partnership. No Dress describes how gender stereotypes are being broken down and blurred in the DJ Booth. Big delays on the vocals keep things spacey. Ironic vocals are just so European, aren’t they?

Easy has always had a passion for low-end sounds. He began playing bass in high school in Santa Cruz, California, which sparked his interest in dub, reggae, hip hop, and all beach and Bay Area-inspired sounds. That spark became a flame where he fell in love with house, techno, and the scene at large. Honing his craft on the West Coast and throughout the Mountain-West Easy has developed events, stages and sound camps at festivals and local events alike. 

Easy's distinctive sound encompasses a variety of flavors from ethereal desert scapes to bouncy vocal tracks. Over the past decade, he has grown his name in the underground while simultaneously sharing the stage with artists such as Eli & Fur, Mz Worthy, Oliver Giocomotto, Desert Hearts, Lubelski, Dan Curtain, Lars Berenroth, Rybo, Flow & Zeo, and more. Wether it’s Burning Man or Berlin, Easy looks to bring his unique sound to a dance floor near you.
