Project Marina are a Boy/girl  synth-pop band from Nantes in the West of France.
The duo combines guitar, analog synths and drum machine to develop songs between French synth punk, techno and electro krautrock. 
As if Alan Vega kissed Etienne Daho on a french touch party, it's a try to combine your mother's caress and your father's slap at the same time.

"Minimum Viable Product" (MVP) is an incremental Compilation to be built by Detonic Recordings over the next year. Each Month an on-line single will be published with an "A" and "B" side from each participating artist.
At then end of the year the complete compilation will be released featuring one track from each artist.

After intense touring ‘Of Desire’ in Europe, Asia and beyond,  The KVB returned to their studio to further immerse themselves in sonic experimentation. The resulting ‘Above Us’ heralds the next chapter in the adopted-Berliners dark, electronic pop development. With waves of synthesisers, flourishes of surf guitar and sequences driving with nervous energy, the tension finally relieves with a surging, euphoric chorus. 

Brighter and more expansive than ever, the track demonstrates the bands growing ability to create sonic journeys, yet retains the atmosphere synonymous with The KVB.

@La-Mverte ’s October 2017 album ‘The Inner Out’ now gets some carefully commissioned remix treatment on @her-majestys-ship from exciting artists Matias Aguayo, In Aeternam Vale and La Mverte himself.

The album, ‘The Inner Out’, was a unique mix of industrial, disco, new wave and Italo that marked another high point in the Paris producer’s discography. Three of the key tracks from it now get fresh reinterpretations that bring plenty of heat to the dance floor.

In @in-aeternam-vale-1 is rooted in punk-rock nihilism, Kraftwerk coldness and aggressive industrialism, and has been since the eighties. His arresting take on ‘The Inner Out’ has a wild spirit. Flailing synths and bleeping keys bring a rave element to the dehumanised vocals while strobe lit grooves and stiff stabs make this one brilliantly muscular and macho.

These are three wonderfully club focused tracks that deal in plenty of rawness and grit.

¡Escúchame, Cabrón! is a limited-edition C50 cassette announced for pre-order on International Women's Day and made up exclusively of female artists or groups and collaborations featuring a strong female presence.

The purpose of the release is to bring to light, in our own small way, the systemic violence and oppression of women in Spain and around the world and to highlight the incredible female voices present in industrial and synthwave music today.

Spain is a country close to our hearts. It's a beautiful, historic, energetic and culturally-rich nation. Today, the problems women have to face in a society that is generally a privileged population are completely unnecessary. Problems such as being cross-examined in rape trials, gang rape cases being downgraded to sexual assault and an abundance of domestic violence. An average of one woman in killed by her partner per week.

In 2017 Spanish courts received more than 166,000 gender violence complaints against woman - a 16% increased on the year before. Spain is certainly not an exception. Some national studies show that up to 70 per cent of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime.

Another premiere features viscous melodies and vocals of Trenton Chase in a track called Narked, that belongs to V.A. Archives Du Coeur Domain compilation.

The compilation is the latest in the synth-heavy sludge down from Public System Recordings brought directly by the label’s boss Myn. It’s said that he invites a new cast of characters into the dungeon dance, and it’s completely true. Packed with dynamic, chugging, and forward thinking jams, compilation includes Narked, which is yet again a strong piece from Trenton Chase. Metallic and industrial elements bend along with vocal echoes, that create constant reverberation and the positive sound of fear.

Pearls 2 Swine

The music of the band is deeply influenced by and related to the experimental electronic music of the late 1970s and early 1980s, that was made in Sheffield by bands like The Future/The Human League, Vice Versa, Cabaret Voltaire, or by the formerly in Preston based musician Colin Potter and a few American avant-garde artists, pioneering in electronic music, like John Bender, etc.. Although the band is very careful in creating a minimal electronics sound, obviously appearing vintage in itself, it is produced in a hybrid way, by using analogous procedures and modern techniques of production as well. So in the end Lower Synth Department is concerned with post-minimal electronics so to speak.
 
The name of the band is related to at least three different references, which intercommunicate and therefore depict the sound of the band: first to the cold aesthetics of modernist, especially brutalist architecture, which conveyed and expressed a very dehumanized attitude to life from the 1950s till the 1960s, that still affected even the 1980s. Second, technically speaking, to the low frequency oscillator, which creates a rhythmic pulse or sweep and is often used to modulate synthesizers, delay lines and other audio equipment in order to create effects used in the production of electronic music, while the final reference derives from the band's name abbreviation.
