Sted DeVoe is a well rounded jack of all trades who has created an artistic niche, connecting with people as a Barber, Musician/Performer, and Graphic Designer; three things that have been a strong hobby since middle school age. Born into a traveling military family just outside of Seattle, WA, he chose to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and pursue his God-given gifts to create art and entertain.

Sted DeVoe has always taken pride in his appearance as well as others, finding the vision and dexterity needed to create a clean and appealing look for himself and others. He began barbering at the age of 11 after receiving his first pair of clippers as a gift. Sted first learned through observation and analysis; he was a natural from the very start and would continue to cut his own hair all throughout middle school, high school, and college. Sted moved to Hampton, VA at the age of 14 and played the Alto Saxophone and Percussion with his middle school band and began learning Keyboard by ear. At this time, Sted began to nurture his artistic skills and became eager to learn more about art, music, and business. It wasn’t until the end of high school and the beginning of college when Sted began to build clientele with friends and family through Graphic Design and Barbering which became a way to fund his Music and Entertainment aspirations. He would often design his own artwork for promotional use.

In 2009, Sted DeVoe moved to Atlanta, GA. He graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media (AIMM) in 2010 where he obtained certifications in Musicianship, Modern Recording, Production, and Engineering. Upon graduating, Sted began to network with others in the city and freelance studio gigs but didn’t find much success right away which brought him back to being a fulltime barber.  In 2016, Sted finally decided to incorporate his second love of barbering with his pursuit of a music career and created Cuts by Sted, Creative Services LLC which created a niche for him behind the scenes. 

In 2017, Sted went back to AIMM to sharpen his skills and obtain another degree in Keyboard Performance. His stage name is “Sted D.,” and he is a registered writer and publisher with SESAC Performing Rights Organization. Sted D. has a nice blend of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, and Jazz with Pop elements; full of energy, substance, wit, lyricism, and superb flow. Creative from start to finish, composing, arranging, writing, and performing 95% of his music! Who says you can’t do it all? He is a budding superstar barber, graphic designer, producer, songwriter, arranger, composer, recording engineer, recording artist, entertainer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. To sum it all up with one title, Sted DeVoe simply refers to himself as a “Creative Artist”. He aspires to create Art  around the world and give back however he can.

Accomplishments include:

2007 - Top Ten Finalist in the National "Take Back The Music Songwriting Contest" sponsored by Essence Magazine & Berklee School of Music

2010 - Performances with Ryan Leslie, J. Cole, Roscoe Dash, Teairra Mari, Verse Simmonds & Yung LA.

2011 - Served as Project Chairman for Megabuck Entertainment Group, Inc. 
Project Management for events; facilitate relations between clients & company; Event Planning; Sales, Marketing and Promotions, Graphic Design. Coordinated and managed event staff.
- Proctored auditions in the southeast and mid-atlantic regions for Wired For Sound artist showcases in Hampton, VA & Atlanta, GA in 2010. Reached over 200 independent artists.
- Organized live broadcast on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM Norfolk, VA and a spot on Urban Lyfe TV, airing on MyTVZ network in Hampton Roads, VA area.
- He has also engineered sessions with Bryan Michael-Cox, D-Roc of the Ying Yang Twins, and the M.A.C. of the legendary Kris Kross.
