“Tell me how we would go on living”': you can consider these words as an essence for our new compilation Hyperboloid 2022. We have taken them from the lyrics of a new song by Gleb Raumskaya. Here you will find all the musical answers to the question of the musician from Omsk. Echoes of jungle, trance, breakbeat, ambient, hip-hop, bass and hyper-pop mix here into a whirlwind of feelings and styles. The collection starts with a farewell: our old friend Cadeu says goodbye to the departing year with ciao. 
You can find a lot of familiar names here: Pixelord, Famitsu, Summer of Haze, Koloah and Max Dahlhaus released their records on Hyperboloid this year. Long-time residents of the label SP4K, BOGUE, Sangam, Zakladki, Fisky and Nphonix are also represented with their special tracks. Sport DJ and ellija, new producers on our label, introduce themselves as the fresh blood of Russian electronic music. Theory Of Swing main man St. David then hooks up with pal Wildbox from No Hype DJs for the same heavy and sweaty house of 'All Nite.' Their second jam 'Feeling Free' is more stripped back and cool with balmy pads swirling round cool drums kicks.

Fedor Stepanenko aka Nphonix aka @Lowres_music (with @voltanov) aka NxF (with @fiskyoioioi) aka Benway is a multi-genre electronic music artist from Moscow, Russia.

Fedor first made his mark on the electronic world via a slew of quality dancefloor-oriented drum&bass tunes from 2006 onwards, released on some of the genres preeminent labels. But the last 10+ years has seen Nphonix switch focus away from drum&bass towards a more diverse, polyrhythmic electronic palette, as bass / beats / techno and house all started to colour newer work.

Lowres is a house music project by two old friends with completely different musical backgrounds.
Until 2012, Feodor Stepanenko (aka @nphonix) spent many years productively engaged in drum&bass, after which he switched to modern bass, techno and house music. Ivan Voltanov (aka @voltanov / Zimmer G) is a downtempo music aficionado who has several lounge albums in his back catalogue.
The symbiosis of such different views on electronic music produced a sound that can be best described as warm and dusty house with lo-fi treatment.
