Focusing on intriguing and hypnotic electronic music from all corners of the globe, Field Trips takes the listener on a seamless journey through dreamy ambient, downtempo, balearic, house, disco and experimental sounds, with a touch of the psychedelic. Special guests are invited to provide 1 hour guest mixes periodically.

Also featured are some of Nick's sets from various gigs and festivals around the world during his 15 years of club DJing and promoting. He is currently based in Mexico City.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Field Trips began its life as a humble one-off radio show on Balamii Radio in Peckham in 2016, with an all Japanese special hosted by Nick Cobby and Liam Jacquin- showcasing vinyl records bought on recent digging there. This was swiftly followed by a string of 'specials' presenting rumba and funk vinyl gathered from Cuba, Italian disco and South African Jazz to name but a few - interspersed with field recordings captured from the trips.

The radio shows evolved into live gigs and hosting parties in London. This was followed by a yearly party at Bar Bonobo in Tokyo, guest DJ sets at City Boy Lounge in Osaka alongside local Japanese talent, as well as guesting on Tokyo based radio station, Hamon Radio.

Over the years, the Field Trips sound developed past the more focussed 'specials' format to a thoughtful selection of ambient, balearic, IDM and downtempo sounds. Rhythmic, hypnotic and intriguing, with no corner of the globe left untouched.

The show is now streamed live on London's Netil Radio via London and Mexico City by Nick Cobby, with regular guest mixes by local and international talent. This archive features all the shows to date and is updated monthly.
