‘For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side.

So here we are, another year coming to an end, leading into a summer that we’ve been waiting for, for over 3 years now. Usually, things start to wind down around this time of the year but it would seem that things are just as chaotic as usual. Transitioning through seasons used to be a breeze, though nowadays, not so much. 
Someone who has never had any issues with transitions is this episode's contributor; Naarm local, favourite, hero, champion, Jazz aka Jasmine Rose aka the slowed-time surgeon.

Watching/listening to Jazz evolve over the last few years has been nothing short of fascinating, comfortably traversing from strength to strength, like jumping on Lilly pads across a pond, creating a ripple effect with each launch and each landing. She’s one of the very few with a firm grip on sub 110bpm chug, the queen of the slow roast; The slow lane is a hard lane to drive in, but Jazz has her HR licence, allowing her to cruise down the princess freeway, driving a semi with both eyes closed. Personally, I've had some life-altering experiences dancing to Jazz on a big outdoor system, her hypnotic wizardry has transported me back to primitive times on more than a few occasions. She’s also no stranger to radio waves, she hosts an incredible show dubbed ‘spaces within space’ on Naarm’s own community radio station PBS, as well as another show ‘hanging with the birds’ on the ever-magical Skylab radio. Both shows do an amazing job at summarising the current narrative of the electronic music landscape. If you aren’t already listening to Jazz and her doings, then it’s not too late, and hopefully, this mix will answer any questions you might have. 

Let us discuss said mix, in a purely bias and one-way fashion. I’d say it's impossible to encapsulate Jazz’s depth in an hour and ten minutes, but alas, I am very happily wrong. This mix serves up a refined tasting of her ethos and leaves you wanting more, and luckily there’s plenty more (link below). Her control and understanding is on another level, bending the laws of physics itself without missing a single beat, turning BPM into a construct. Explorations in digital dub, drenched d’n’b, downtime sonatas, and dance floor digestives, she truly has put all of herself into this, and that's exactly why we started this silly little music series. Time for me to shut up and for Jazz to take over (press play).
