Cowboy Joe (NACA High-Speed Flight Station test pilot Joseph Walker) and his steed (Bell Aircraft Corporation X-1A). Walker piloted the first NACA flight on July 20, 1955. Walker attempted a second flight on August 8, 1955, but an explosion damaged the aircraft just before launch. Walker, unhurt, climbed back into the JTB-29A mothership, and the X-1A was jettisoned over the Edwards AFB bombing range.

My musical development:
- took much accordion lessons in my childhood
- than playing bass accordion in an orchestra
- than learning basics of drum playing by myself
- than took guitar lessons for a few years
- than took a little bit african drums lessons
- than playing a few years in a band as a drummer
- than took some sax lessons
- than learning a bit keys and synths by myself
- than fighting to catch right tones on vocals....
- producing cover songs most since 2013
in between again and again doing nothing with music many years....
whether that has borne fruit it's your decision...
sure I'm not a professional but music shapes my life...

As of now, Three Hippos Deep is is a 2 piece consisting of John Konz on guitars and Ken Martinez on bass. All other instrumentation is currently programmed using Ableton. We strive to create a melting pot of rock, funk, electronic, hip-hop, and psychedelic, and draw our inspiration from bands such as Black Sabbath, Clutch, Galactic, Parliament, Rage Against The Machine, Holy Fuck, Lionize, and Pretty Lights. We would like to eventually add additional musicians to this project (particularly vocalists(singers and rappers alike), percussionists, keyboardists/organists, and maybe even brass players!) so anyone listening who is a musician in the N.Y area and likes what they hear and would be potentially interested in jamming with us please send an e-mail to threehipposdeep@aol.com.
