It's safe to say that Berlin's Westcoast Goddess very much likes to let the music do the talking. What we do know about this super secretive producer is that he loves a synth and has been behind some of the most enticing house music released over the last 12 months. With the release of an outstanding EP on Infinite Pleasures imminent we managed to track him down and asked him to put together a mix for our House Selectors series and it's everything that you could have hoped for, deep, spellbinding, at times jazzy others groove heavy. Renowned Jazz musician Ulf Kleiner lands on Ian Pooley’s Pooled Music this April with ‘Tubes’Grande’ featuring three remixes from the label boss. 

A long term collaborator of Pooley, lending rich keyboard work to the legendary producer’s records over the years, Ulf Kleiner is better known outside of electronic music. Taken from his 2020 LP, ‘Pianoskop’, ’Tubes Grande’ is a light but immersive piece of acoustic modern Jazz that, at just 3.36 minutes, begs repeat listens. Pooley’s interpretations, a ‘Main Version’, ‘Dub’ and ‘Analog Piano Dub Mix’ lead Kleiner’s work to the dancefloor in distinct ways, showing off the producers deft touch and studio experience across the package. From the decidedly organic, mid-paced house of the ‘Analog Piano Dub’ to the dense, electronic melodies of the ‘Main Version’ to the blissed out ‘Ian Pooley Dub’ this Pooley in the form of his career.

This week we welcome accomplished Italian producer Nico Lahs, aka  Nicola Loporchio.  Hailing from Bari(Italy)he has been releasing deep, classy house music and high-quality sounds for over a decade on the likes of Ovum, Poker Flat and Rawax to name a few.

2020 saw the producer ramp up his output after a five years hiatus during which he focused on his Cosmic Garden alias and started his label Cosmic Rhythm, releasing in May “Freedom”, an LP of smokey vintage house,via Detroit born/Beijing based Adeen Records, to then issue a 12-inch via Brooklyn’s Dailysession Records and finally cap off this stellar run with an EP, “Blow Your Mind”, on Dan Curtin’s Metamorphic Recordings.

This year Nico Lahs released “Got Me Coming Back” on Jimpster’s Delusions Of Grandeur and “Make Up - The Edits” which is a compilation of hand picked 70s & 80s 39s featuring hidden dance, funk and disco gems compiled by Chez Damier which have been retouched and edited himself.

Pablo Valentino is a talented French DJ & has been DJing since 1998. A well travelled and very knowledgeable music collector. 

He's the founder and owner of MCDE Recordings which he runs together with his close friend Motor City Drum Ensemble.

He also own another label called FACES Records (which just celebrated 15 years).

Pablo is known for his energic and eclectic DJ sets, ranging from House, Disco, Brazilian, Boogie, Techno & Soul.

Since 2014 Pablo is running a monthly residency called "Children Of The Drum" that has been a huge success on the french club scene, almost always sold out, it takes place in 2 of the most notorious french clubs : Le Sucre in Lyon & Rex Club in Paris.
