My next guest is Echology, a music producer and DJ from Mielec, Poland. 
Echology is specialised in dub techno, ambient, deep techno and  genres of deep electronics. 

Besides self-publishing music, he has released tracks on labels such as Drift Deeper, Scale Limited, Crossfade Sounds, Apnea, hello strange, Techenie, insectorama. 

Having a background as a bass player, he tends to favour productions with deep and emphasised basslines and puts major focus on rhythm. 

Working daily as a musician and sound engineer, Echology tends to experiment with sonics, tonality and rhythm in ways that overcome boundaries. 

He adapted an old school method of composing, using a mixture of hardware synthesizers and drum machines, guitar pedals, mixing console and DAW. Thus, his performances are never the same and each jam is unique and spontaneous.

In his DJ sets Echology pursues the same goal - deep and groovy bassline intertwine with soft yet punchy kick drums. Not straying from slower and softer grooves, his main focus are danceable dubbed out tunes invoking dreamlike audio mirage. 

Being a big time fan of old school Jamaican roots dub reggae, you can often hear some roots vocals in his selections.

This set is no exception to all above, so brace yourself for a trip into hypnotic grooves and minimalist ethereal soundscapes!

Session 241 - Soul´n´Dub Episode 14 - played live on WTMO

My next guest is DJ Joshua from Portugal, who brings a solid dubby installment with many wellknown appreciated producers from the scene in it. DJ Joshua started mixing around 1994/1995. At that time, he also collaborated on local radio shows on electronic music and performed at parties organized together with friends. In those days, while following the beginning and growth of the dance scene in Portugal, his interest in this type of sound and in the development of this culture became increasingly greater.
As his taste for these sounds and the art of djing was always intense, after being away from "mixes" for a long period for various reasons, he returned in 2007 through the creation of an online podcast under the name " Floating Beats Sessions”. This podcast ended up being extended and giving rise to two radio shows broadcast weekly on several online radios across the globe that cover different genres of electronic music.
Nowadays he regularly collaborates as a guest DJ on several podcast series around the world and maintains some series of mixes designed by himself for specific genres.
In 2023 he decided to explore the world of production in more depth way and founded in January of 2024 JFLM Recordings to release his own tracks made by himself through different aliases (Joshua Marian / K-Joshua / Joshua Fernand / Joshua Onairam). He also has several Eps released by labels such as Soul SND, Crossfade Sounds, Piranha Siberia Dub, Slope Point, Techenie Records, Moiss Music, Bassment Tapes, HDRLimit, Back To The Beat Rec, Electric Eden Records, Groove Tag, SUEVI Rec, Microgarden Lab and more new stuff coming out soon.

They simply called it “The Laboratory.” There were no windows — only the hum of life-support systems and aquariums filled with lifeforms that defied classification. On evenings like this, Spacelunch would tune the setup, Cat would yank out unnecessary cables with his tail, and everything would freeze in anticipation of the signal. A deep, steady mix filled the space, seeping into reservoirs, consoles, and whispering sensors. Something flared, something trembled — as if the environment itself was trying to synchronize with the rhythm. Later, a new chapter would appear in the Professor’s log: “Sample 93.”

Biography: 
Real name Andrey Afanasiev, originally from the cold Murmansk in Russia. Passion and love for electronic music came in 1996, when Andrey first heard acid techno and acid trance tracks. Since 2000, he acted as only vinyl DJ. Since 2002 he has actively participated in club life. Played on one stage with Burnski (James Burnham), Falko Brocksieper, Dub Taylor and other equally interesting DJs and producers. In 2012, together with his colleague Mød, created a project Aima, that promoting dark industrial techno sound. In 2015 Andrey created the project Ekstendia, that focused on Dub Techno and which today is the main. Ekstendia favors the deep sound of Northern Dub Techno, this is an echo resounding over northern nature. Fog over the endless fields, the breath of the city at night. Cold layered textures and airport sounds. Atmospheric canvas. A leisurely massive sound that takes you far into the depths of consciousness.
