Mike Vardy is a writer, podcaster, speaker, productivityist, and the author of The Front Nine: How to Start the Year You Want Anytime You Want. In addition to writing for his personal weblog, Productivityist.com, he continues to contribute to several blogs on the topic of productivity, time, and task management, including SUCCESS Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Lifehacker. He has also served as the Managing Editor at Lifehack, and as an editor at The Next Web and held the same position for the work-life balance blog, WorkAwesome. Along with his written work, he has given talks on productivity and technology; events he has spoken at include TEDx JuanDeFuca, Social Media Camp, and New Media Expo 2013. He currently hosts The Productivityist Podcast. Mike lives in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with his wife, daughter, and son.

BIO 
Skyla J is a vocalist, musician and producer. She records every element of her music herself and also works on projects with husband Ozzie. Skyla and Ozzie have been recording together since 1999 and had their live debut at the world famous Montreal Jazz Festival in the summer of that year. They have performed at hundreds of events in the UK, US, Canada and Europe. Between 2008 and 2012 they collaborated on a project named Greenlaw, which released material on Formation Records, the legendary label owned by the equally legendary Leroy Small, aka DJ SS, one of the earliest pioneers of drum ‘n’ bass.
 
They released four singles on Formation; the first, second and last of these featured DJ SS himself, while their third single “After I’m Gone” came with a remix by the prolific UK dubstep act Nero. They also toured with other drum n bass heavy hitters such as, Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, and Andy C. A Greenlaw album is in the works at the moment. Skylab Sounds is Skyla and Ozzie’s newest collaborative effort and it combines Skyla’s award-winning vocal talents with and Ozzie’s innovative bass and keyboard styles. This project will explore deep house, soul and reggae.
 
Skyla J has collaborated with other producers. She sang on the Matthew 1626 produced deep house track “I Pray”, released by Munich label Deepalma in 2014. This was remixed by Giom, who has material on Joey Negro’s Z Records and on Large Records —  the famous Chicago imprint that has been home to Kerri Chandler and Roy Davis Jnr. She has just released the single “Beautiful Life” with producers Loui and Scibi and is also working with San Francisco producer and engineer, Michael Harms, adding her vocals to tracks by Harms and by UK artists Tanka and Majora.
 
With a career that spans three decades and a musical talent that can meld effortlessly with a variety of genres, you can see that Skyla J is a name you need to keep an eye on. Such versatility is rare in the electronic music industry, where sub-genres and hype have become the norm.
