Bit different from my usual Hardcore stuff (and weirdly no Jungle in it hehe) but definitely one of the sets I'm most proud of to date; despite the time slot which could have been slightly scary!

Originally from Boorloo, Personal Growth has made an impact in Brisbane/Meanjin as the Label boss of Eternal Love Records.

We got the chance to chat to Personal Growth about this heater of a mix:

‘With this mix i wanted to showcase a few upcoming releases on the label.and really put an emphasis on the sounds I’m heading towards with both myself  and on Eternal Love. This was the first mix I’ve done in a while that I really had no plan at all behind it, I knew there were a few tracks that I wanted to play but everything else was pretty much unplanned . You can expect to hear some unreleased Idle Air, Ovid & Young Muscle along side a few other offerings from artists that I’m really excited to hear more from like Sloucho and BFTT’

Vienna based producer and dj @parule made himself a name in the local scene quickly: Releasing an EP on Ternär Records @akaroid_trnr amongst other Track appearances, but also with hard hitting sets between Breakbeat, Electro, Bass and Techno; in the meantime as part of the @friedenundliebe collective. hey hey! it's sahana here releasing my debut track 'hotel voices'. this short but sweet 3 minute track captures the adhd-esque elements of the rave at 2am. it's got some tribal, bass, techno, hardgroove, 2000's bits with the added bonus of a hazbin hotel reference.

Hotel Voices

“El Fuckso a Sí Mismo”, aka @djfuckshimself a mythical Guardian of Jungle is generally described as a tall and ugly Tectonic-like creature with one leg shorter than the other and one foot larger than the other, pointed backward. He spends his time hoarding jungle, jump-up, and hardcore records on the shelves of his grotto in Gesundbrunnen. Using this vast arsenal of vinyl, he lures his victims deep into the dancefloor until they are lost forever to the sounds of amen. His uncanny ability to mix and blend drums and basslines makes humans fall into a state of hardcore bliss, except for if they see his mismatched feet and thus the spell can be broken.

DJ @skain is yet another Guardian of Jungle and is said to have the ability to transform water into breaks. He is a sort of spirit who guards the Berlin lands and the ravers that inhabit them. According to a local Rixdorf legend, DJ Skain is a member of an older raver species, one that lived long before techno. Most of the time he inhabits the Mega Buff Mansion, located in the heart of the Berlin Jungle scene, where he supposedly has a sick collection of records which he got back in the day and samples to make incredibly dope tracks.
 
For centuries, ravers have argued, spanked, and speculated who is the mightiest Guardian. This Saturday, witness these two Berlin legends spin vinyl in deadly back-2-back warfare live at the Mega Buff Mansion. The illest shall rule.
