Your voice is amazing. Very moving song; loved the emotional progression throughout. And refrain  My only regret is never being able to hear this one for the first time, again!

Written when I was 17 or 18?? WOW! This is a really hard to do...perform straight through..no way to cut/paste the good parts. Just getting this out there for a friend that requested it awhile ago. Not sure when I'll be able to record it with GOOD equipment. Can't wait to, though!! (C) 1988

The Storm

Hey Friend!

I love writing music. Even though I wrote a bit in my late teens, I lost my way over the years. Then, after learning guitar for a college class 2 years ago, the sleepy songwriter has awoken once again.

I'm a folk gal. Love it. Harry Chapin is my long time influence and Ray LaMontagne's music is my current love. I know that if ever I reach the ability of crafting a song that is even 1/4 that of their incredible talent, I will have written an awesome song.

I hope that my songs may touch you. May find a way to express and voice how you feel. That they may give you an outlet or maybe just transport you to a place where you need to be at that moment:-)

I write these songs to connect with you even though I may never know your name or shake your hand. Know that I appreciate your support, but mostly I hope that in this incredibly screwed up world, we can all still be connected through music!

PS With the exception of a couple done at a friend's studio, my recordings are home ones with crappy equipment and I am forced to try to play the entire song straight through. This equals very sore fingertips and a hoarse voice once accomplished. 

I'm not looking to get famous...just want to write. It is my outlet and I finally feel truly alive again. I hope everyone gets as much pleasure out of recording their music as I do. Rock on!!!! Peace and love;-)
