Ketato Nergadze aka Lua a singer, songwriter, and producer from Tbilisi, Georgia. Her love affair with music commenced at the age of 14 when she wrote her first full song on a piano. Eager to broaden sonic palette, the self-taught musician embraced the acoustic guitar. Exploring various instruments influenced her style, but her singing voice remains a constant in her work.
Ketato’s musical journey took a new direction in 2023 when she began producing her own music. This venture allowed her to carve out a distinct sound, showcasing her evolution from a young songwriter to a multifaceted artist. Her music is an emotive exploration, often characterized by introspective and melancholic themes that paint a vivid picture of the world from her unique perspective. Her primary language of expression is English. Despite it not being her first language, Lua’s lyrics exude authenticity, as she communicates her feelings with a raw and unfiltered honesty, akin to a heartfelt conversation without the constraints of poetics. While her song arrangements lean towards purity, she effortlessly intertwines live acoustic instruments with analog synths, vocal harmonies and electro-acoustic rhythms.
