Ed Sheeran - Camera (E770 & Jey Cordz Remix)

In 2017, my wife and I moved out of Colorado and ended up in the city of Independence, Missouri. While it was exciting for me personally, as a producer, I knew I had to start over again, which was a daunting prospect.

The very first weekend we were in town, we ventured out in search of a coffee shop and stumbled upon the grand opening of a charming little gem called Inkwell Cafe, just a few blocks from our new house.

That morning, something magical happened when we met the owner. He and his friends welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like we had never left home.

Over the next few months, we all shared a passion for music and attended various shows at Inkwell Cafe. A close-knit group of friends formed, and we began to harmonize musically.

In January 2018, this group of friends gathered in my living room for a 24-hour Write-a-Record challenge, hosted by @Leftmore. We transformed our tiny house into a recording studio, setting up mics, amps, and other equipment. Within 12 hours, we managed to write and record an entire EP.

“A Place Called Nowhere” is one of my favorite tracks from those incredible sessions.

A Place Called Nowhere (2018 24 Hr Write-A-Record-Challenge)

This is a track we've been working on for about a year, with the aim of being a mystical soundscape of a strange, ethereal nature, with a focus on soft synths and clear bells and digital sound effects of an enchanted glade.

It started in December 2024 and finished November 2025, when Masha discovered that the ending was not the beginning of the track but rather the ending, it all fell into place. She was working on another track when the introduction was composed, but after slowing it down to match the tempo of the rest, we realised it fit perfectly for this song.
