Borrowed Time is a fusion of our North American roots and the diverse styles of our musical co-creators in Lima Peru.  This project was a whirlwind of people, places and sounds.  We bring to you elements of Andean and Criolla guitar styles, Afro-peruvian percussion, flute and vocal field recordings by Native artists from the Andean highlands of Cuzco.  Add a sprinkle of organ, some chunky bass and drums and serve it up with a slab of Estela's butter vocals.  Que Vive la criolla mundial!

This is the first c.d. that Dave B and I put together. It is what we call the Sound track to the discovering of ourselves as individuals and artistic life partners. It is a blend of Dave B's jewish american roots and my mexican american roots and inspired by our travels to mexico, Peru and Brazil. The music is an experience into the depths of our hearts and internal music. Mostly original tunes and a couple of traditional Son Jarocho tunes from Mexico done in a not so traditional way.
