Testing the boundaries of uniqueness, Lu’Ami mixes live vocalised loops with electronically produced sounds to create a bed of Icelandic pop, neo soul, electronica and jazz, overlaid with catchy pop melodies.
Able to silence a room with rich soulful tones, she has often been compared to artists such as Erykah Badu and Björk.

Lu’Ami has taken stage at festivals across country, including Shambala, The Great Escape and 2000 Trees. Internationally, Lu’Ami shared with audiences at Madame Claudes and Fete de la Musique, Berlin. Having performed live on BBC Radio 4, she was invited on tour with comedian Arthur Smith as his main support.

Released in April 2016, Lu’Ami used the idea of personal growth for her first full length E.P ‘Better’, incorporating her innovative and distinctive sound using the loop station. She independently built a collective of eco-creative people to launch the E.P., curating a sustainable fashion show and the intention to raise awareness of climate change. Lu’Ami raised £2,500 through Crowdfunding to put on a sold out show, with the ‘Better’ E.P. profits donated to Mental Health Foundation.

Lu’Ami’s second E.P. ‘Warriors’ has again been successfully funded by fans using Crowdfunding and is due for release March 2019. An exploration of self-empowerment, the making of this E.P. inspired ‘The Self-Empowerment Stories’, where Lu’Ami invited fans on social media to share honest and authentic personal experiences of empowered breakthroughs. The series demonstrated that this feeling, no matter how big or small, can be found in every day life and is attainable for everyone.

Lu’Ami is a continuously evolving artist that puts pure spirit, feeling and honesty at the helm of her work. Her influences and experiences are bound together in a way that is recognisable on both a musical and human level, yet somehow indefinable.

Jamila & The Other Heroes are the new, wild and lively band, based in Berlin that have come together to make raw, energetic and funkadelic music to make you fly. 

Leading the band is the vibrant, Jamila Al-Yousef.  Born in Berlin the day the Berlin Wall fell and raised by her influential Palestinian refugee father, Jamila’s cultural activism and strong will to positively change the world is drawn deep into her artistic expression. Jamila’s songwriting style delves into her drive for change and merges soul, funk, rock and Arab folklore and hones her skills on-stage and in the studio. In 2016, The Other Heroes joined Jamila’s vision on cultural activism and blends an energetic, soul arrangements into a sound that is earning considerable buzz and a loyal local following.  Combining Jamila’s powerful lead vocals, The Other Heroes carefully produced, funky guitar work and percussion styled sounds has left sold out audiences in awe and is catching the attention of audiences around Germany, Europe and Middle East.

Jamila & The Other Heroes have spent 2016 developing their sound and is set for a big 2017.  With the release of their Debut EP set for Summer 2017 they are bringing their colourful live show around Europe this summer and are here, ready to party.

Kunle is an acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter, whose folk and soul music bridges contemporary styles with roots in West African rhythms and stories. Nigerian born and currently based in Toronto, Kunle brings together his unique guitar tapping, harmonica, talking drum and rich vocals to take audiences into what he terms 'music with no boundaries'.
