Malenky Slovos - Matterplay, entirely new mix, using the original studio recording multi tracks.

The mix is based on the smaller dynamic ratio of the tracks then the first mix, due to the nature of this song / kind of music. So I have been very strict in handling the max levels and later diverted the dynamics

As promised I added the extra 1 octave down bck vox on "hysteria", additional bck vox have been "choired" (made a choir of each of the solo back vocals)

For fun I added an extra spooky intro to give the song a Gothic start, made it, manually reverse your own voice with Melodyne.

Please let me know your comments on this mix.

Here is my mix and master of the original Studio recorded stem multi track files.
When I heard it there was just one way: Mix it like The Middle Of The Road.
The only reason for that: I'm an old fart just lucky enough to have enjoyed the fab 60's  hahahaha ;-)

Did my best to make the best out of these beauties.
Conventional mix, added 4 harmony voxes to complete the vox stems and correct to my believe the intentions of the writers AND artists of this song.

Enjoyed this band very much, keep on going :-)

The Wrong'uns - Rothko - My mix and master

Zwiepack is an initiative of Christian Bolz, lead saxophonist of the German Jazz bigband Spektakulatius. This is my mix and master of the very modest, true and beautiful version of Summertime, Chris is playing: Jazz how jazz is meant to be I think.

Chapeau Christian :-)) again a great sounding performance.
This production I used the original multi track stems files of Christian's studio recording.
I am very satisfied with my mix, the aim was to get you the sensation of standing in an old fashioned jazz club hall, attempting to let you taste the ambiance of it...

For the interested sound engineers: All tracks original dynamics (and dynamics are present in this recording... PEEEUWW) are respected and untouched while dynamics is what jazz in essence is...

I treated Christian's sax tracks with the highest caution and payed very much attention to the side chain reverb: I created a dedicated 'only wet' reverb channel (reverbtime 5000ms ayayayayayayyyy) and ducked this channel with Chris's own dynamics, derivated from one of the two dry sax tracks as reverence.
And as you engineers likely will know, a ducked reverb side chain on the lead will do wonders, especially in one taker jazz studio recordings ;-) The last sax note becomes sooooooo sweet....
