BROKEN DRUMS 05 - Guest: Giorgio Gigli

Luigi Mazza was born in 1995 in a small town where he first discovered his passion for music. By the age of 12, he had already begun his journey as a DJ, driven by an unwavering determination and a deep love for the craft. In 2015, he started collaborating with the ‘Carlo Cavalli Band,’ and in 2019, expanded his horizons by working with ‘OUTBAL RECORDS’ and ‘TRAUM TECHNO GERMANY.’

In 2020, Luigi pursued formal studies in sound design and audio engineering at the  ACCADEMY in Naples, where he honed his technical skills and earned certifications in Ableton and Cubase. This academic background, combined with his passion for creating unique soundscapes, laid the foundation for his distinct style.

In 2022, he had the honor of performing at ‘Hotel Butterfly’ in Rome, where he opened for the renowned DJ and producer Giorgio Gigli. Later that year, he moved to Berlin, fully immersing himself in the city’s vibrant electronic music scene and exploring the world of modular synths.

Currently, Luigi has performed at some of Berlin’s most respected venues, including the Aeden club and the legendary Watergate, where his vinyl-only sets have resonated with audiences, further cementing his position in the underground music community.
