Injecting a darker, weightier spin on the original, Lake sprinkles snippets of the already-timeless vocals over a bedrock of rolling bass, warehouse stabs and crunchy drum work.

I made this remix after discovering the original track and being moved by its ethnic spirit and the soul of Bashkortostan, where Ay Yola come from. Their unique blend of ancient Bashkir folk traditions with modern sounds inspired me to reinterpret the track in a progressive house style while keeping its essence. I’m sharing this version as a personal tribute to their culture and music—hope you feel the same connection I did.

I highly recommend checking out the original track, as well as exploring the group and the region they come from, to fully feel the inspiration behind this remix.

The project translates that physical, urban bravado into a Scandinavian electronic framework, channelling the relentless drive of Hip-Hop's foundations into a potent blend of machine-driven rhythms.
