It&#8217;s double attack time here at Donkeyhead, with two distinct cuts that ooze class, finesse and grooviness. Label boss Cristian Varela steps up first with &#8220;Magnum&#8221; and sets the tone perfectly with classic chords and busy drum edits. A subtle synth riff carefully brings us closer to a literal turnaround of the track where after a nostalgic breakdown, the affair transforms into a bittersweet anthem. Mendo&#8217;s remix of Karretero&#8217;s &#8220;Patron&#8221; is a bit more laid back, with vocal samples spicing things up and quirky, but simple percussion keeping the momentum high. Floating synths make their appearance and blend effortlessly with the rocksteady groove as it unfolds in style.

Rob Mirage drops his debut on Transmit with pure class, as this two-part epic unfolds into the chrome-plated night. The title track shuffles and grinds away, letting the cavernous effects do all the talking and the stomping sub bass lock the grooves together. The dubbed-out vibes continue throughout, shifting the focus on the almost-eerie vocal processing. &#8220;Mistaken ID&#8221; follows through on the same path, adding a touch of tribal sensibilities, a hypnotic riff that slowly creeps in, and clever arrangement that lets the whole track breathe. Of course, the deal is sealed with a sticky bassline and careful placement of even more mangled vocals.

The one and only Eric Sneo graces Phobiq for the first time with this three-track journey into sleek, chrome-plated Techno. 
The title track has been surgically arranged so that the cavernous percussion and spacious effects can take over the whole track with their immersing strength. The grinding drums in combination with the hypnotic, filtered riff running throughout the track kick things up a notch and ensure maximum overdrive. 
On &#8220;Stanch&#8221;, snappy drums provide the backdrop for otherworldly hi-hats to pound away while the focus shifts to the immense rhythm section and percussive mayhem. As expected, an apocalyptic breakdown ensues and all hell proceeds to break loose. &#8220;Interleaved&#8221; picks up from there and seals the EP with classic chords that mutate over time together with more sonic manipulation, which ultimately serves as an exhibition of effortless mastery.

Here we are again, with Aella number 25. This time with one part of the Aella Music label bosses: Ramon Tapia. After doing great with his other label Say what? records, he now delivers a hot straight up jacking track for Aella Music which will make booties bounce and crowds go wild. Deep basses and rolling grooves are his trademark and on this one its no different. For the b side he asked partner in crime and House Gangster #1 Dj Sneak for the remix duty. Do we need to say more ?
