Toying with echoes and teasing with nuance, shutters fluttering to capture the fleeting moment…a moment not soon forgotten for those who were lucky enough to be there, at sunrise on Sunday, Black Rock City, Burning Man, 2014.   And then, just as easily as we are led into that place, a whole movement of sound and energy returns the dance floor.

WhoMadeWho is known for its outstanding performances as a band. This sucessful acts is touring the world and tracks are getting remixed by some of the top producers in the world like Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Mario Basanov and Mind Against. 
Knowing that all these remixes got released on top labels like Life And Death, Minus and Kompakt, we are very proud that Click Records can now be added to this impressive list of remixers and labels that WhoMadeWho worked with and released their music on.

Edu Imbernon needs no introduction. This dj/producers tours all around the world, plays all the big clubs and festivals and is also running his own new Fayer record label. Edu Imbernon is also no stranger for the Click audience as he is one of our regular artists on our events. We are very happy to have him finally onboard with delivering this driving melodic remix!

Agents Of Time are fast rising and already on top of the league in their genre. With releasing their "Polina" track, which got huge support from Tale Of Us, they delivered a instant techno classic tune. Playing all over the globe, with a show last week at our own event in Amsterdam, they set every dance floor on fire with their unique performance and live sets.

The thing I love most about Burning Man is no matter how much you think you've prepared, you still never really know what to expect. The uncertainty, the excitement, the apprehension, and sometimes even the fear of what's just around the corner is what keeps so many of us coming back every year with a renewed childlike wonder - a feeling that seems to slip away as we get older. Sometimes everything goes right, and sometimes things just go wrong. 2014 was a mixed bag for me with some high highs (spending time with amazing people, getting to DJ in the best place in the world, seeing some incredible forms of expression) and low lows (namely falling hard on my back off of a see-saw putting me in constant pain for the entire week - it even hurt to laugh!)...but at the end of the day, I got exactly what I bargained for and couldn't ask for anything more: I experienced the unexpected.

In contrast to the previous two years on the bus, this year I played first on Friday night and took a little sonic stroll around different sounds and moods to open the night before Bedouin beautifully escalated the night into proper party mode...Pardon any sloppy mixing, we can just blame that on my aching back :)

Thanks to everyone who was there early in the night to catch my set, and thanks to everyone listening at home, Robot Heart, and Dr Burridge for the continued support over the years...Having the opportunity to do what I do is such a great gift from all of you.

Watching the burners follow us on their lit up bikes, dust swirling all around, with the majestic Black Rock City as a backdrop completely blew me away.

I still get goosebumps all over, when thinking about it.

There truly is no place like Burning Man, a HOME for people who breathe LOVE.

I hope the mix will somehow convey the feel of my magical  & ever inspiring experience out there.

It's been a whole since we brought you original material by the Czech / Australian duo Shades Of Gray. So here we come with a mini-album Circulate. All three tracks are quite divergent - each in it's own way. The acid infused title track Circulate has been produced using solely Micro Korg XL and early New York house samples. Cross & Divide has been heavily influenced by the early 90ties EBM music and Treading Water takes you on emotional melodic trip. On the remix duties we have our good friends JML from Flow Vinyl and Felix Cage from Wood Club Brussels. Enjoy the trip!

"Normally I know that high expectations kill the vibe, so I always try to walk my way open minded and don’t expect anything special from the future, but this time I couldn’t help it. When the Robot told me that she wanted me to play the sunrise set and that we will be connected with the Mayan Warrior soundsystem, I could feel it already in Berlin a full three weeks before… Then when I finally took the bus over to Robot Heart it was even better than in my craziest expectations. This gig was by far the most emotional gig I have ever played. All I can say is thank you, I am even more happy now to be born on this weird planet which can be really beautiful sometimes, when you give it  chance to be free. Thank you you for dancing with me and giving me so much Love. So here is my try to give something back.

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world. 

Jan Blomqvist (Live) - Robot Heart x Mayan Warrior - Burning Man 2016

Dimitri Nakov is clocking releases on Saved, Bedrock and Selador amongst others, co-creator and resident of legendary Never Say Never at Ushuaia and the weekly Sunset Ashram Ibiza, this talented French producer and DJ is on the up.

BVision hails from Brazil, and his work has graced Superfreq, Selador and Tulipa, and his fan base includes Marco Carola, Mr. C and Stefano Noferini. 

The artists have similar tastes yet different at the same time, delivering a musical yin and yang effect, and Sudbeat proudly welcomes these forward thing producers.

The title track 'Paradiso' as the titles suggests is a warm beautiful affair, with its layers gelling effortlessly. The pairings deep yet warm sounds merge as the dark bass meets the luscious arp. 
Cool fx and squelches grace this gem, as the breakdown lands creating a dance floor moment and a half. This is deep and deadly and packs a mean punch.

We are off to 'Eldorado' next, and its a percussive deep swung grooved affair that greets us. Warm blippy melodics tinkle over the swaggering techie workout, and subtle low end adds character and an air of sophistication. Subtleness is the key here, as its aura develops and puts you under its spell.

Rounding things off nicely, we have 'Second Sun' with its infectious arp directing us along. A hypnotic soundscape graces us, as ethereal vocals lace this super cool track. Its all about the vibe here as movements along this voyage take us on twists and turns, before the breakdown lets the arp really shine, and then clever use as it kicks back in. Fresh!

Filth on Acid is excited to welcome Cari Golden for a new collaboration with label honcho Reinier Zonneveld. "Bending The End" is the second track they recorded together and the follow up of the enormous hit "Things We Might Have Said", which was one of the biggest electronic hits of 2016.

That being said, Cari and Reinier wanted to bring something new to the table and started with a white canvas when composing "Bending The End", and because of that they ended up taking a totally different direction. This time the track comes in two variations, the melody centred original mix and a dancefloor orientated 4AM mix. 

The original mix starts out with a throbbing, deep Moog bassline, and a round, deep bassdrum, while at the same time blending soft, haunting effects and a fragmented, distorted melody. Cari Golden's voice, deep and beautiful, comes in and sets the mood for a hypnotic slow burner. The bassline initiates a subtle chord progression and delicate production skills elevate the mood of the track. Powerful but stripped back drum programming along with short bursts of white noise bring impact for the dancefloor. A long breakdown starts the orchestra by three of the big classic synths - Oberheim, Moog and Juno - and pave the road for unimpeachable ear candy with Cari's angel like voice as the centerpoint of the attention. All the elements come together and form an indisputable peak; without building up too obvious. In the vein of bending the end to the beginning again, the track's outro ends as it started: deep and delicate. The second version in the package - 4AM Mix - has a definite peaktime feel to it. Powerful driving drums and a heavy bed of sub bass kick lead the way to the introduction of looped elements of Cari's voice. Colossal, bassy stabs hint to original in a disrobed way. Long synth notes lying somewhere between bass and melody introduce the harmonies of the original during the breakdowns and translate it to demanding dancefloors in a profound way.

After the positive reactions on "Diablo", Oliver and I naturally decided to dive into a follow-up (with a rather appropriate title)! Not sure why we chose Spanish names but we seemed to be onto a good thing so we decided to keep nurturing those creative instincts. We had quite a few ideas going back and forth with this one, hence the two-part approach to the final version. Conceptually and with the working title, we wanted to take a lighter approach to this one, creating something less sinister than "Diablo" and I think that we succeeded nicely, helping to eventually take things into our "Elements" series. Although Alessio Mereu had released a number of 12” EPs over the preceding years, last summer’s Tripolarity full-length was what really gained him international recognition. Now he’s known far beyond his Mediterranean shores, DJing around Europe and getting signed by veteran labels Cocoon and Poker Flat who have released some of his tracks over the past months. Last month, AMAM issued the Tripolarity Remixes 2x12” package, which brought new perspectives on the acclaimed album, but he hasn’t had an EP of original material this year. Now, AMAM is happy to change that with Those I’ve Left Behind.

“Distraught Again” is structured on subtly evolving percussion and a swaggery bassline, with drops of acid accentuating the tension. It echoes the kind of tracks produced back from before Mereu was even born, but with the kind of fidelity and precision tailored for contemporary club soundsystems. Guido Schneider (Highgrade Records) puts his own spin on “Distraught Again” by enhancing the staccato factor, focusing more on rhythmic interplay than the original version’s melodic leanings.

Elsewhere, “Those I’ve Left Behind” combines jacking beats with long, curving synth lines that evoke a menacing atmosphere, crescendoing into a climax where all the track’s elements get tangled into a hot mess. Finally, as a digital-only bonus, “I’m the Machine” continues the jacking flavor with a defiant, robotic beast that stomps onto the dancefloor. Front to back, Those I’ve Left Behind shows Alessio Mereu moving forward with his productions…

This release has a very particular flavour and it is composed of two tracks that will also be playlisted in Hernan Cattaneo's new compilation for Renaissance.The first track of the EP is a remix signed by one of the most talented producers of the global electronic scene, a name that has been part of the Sudbeat family since its dawn and that boasts releases on the best labels out there: the Tel Aviv born Guy J. Once again his unique and personal touch is easily recognizable thanks to a solid swinging groove in which background oriental melodies rise naturally and fluently up until a dreaming breakdown in which energies seem to soften. But it's just an illusion. The drop is behind the corner, ready to make this hymn-like melody explode in a way you won't easily forget.On the B side, Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile refresh their original track slowing down the beat and creating a syncopate rhythm, perfectly fitted with the original main melody and enhanced by a hot bass line with an acoustic touch, the warmth of which creates a unique atmosphere in this downtempo track that once again proves Hernan Cattaneo's and Soundexile's great skills in the studio.
