Here's my label mix for the amazing SPOTLIGHT series on Saturo Sounds, this time we chose one of our favourite labels and selected their tracks that tickle our audiosonic fancies. VIBES 042 Mixed By Nick Varon

With a production career spanning almost a decade, Brazilian-born, Barcelona-based Pedro Capelossi has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.

In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS.  Representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians, REFRACTION blurs the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives.

Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue, Loot Recordings, TOR (When We Dip) and Hoomidas Records. Over the years, Pedro's tracks have been supported by names such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Pablo Bolívar, Armen Miran, Matt Darrey and Airwave.

Capelossi’s DJ performances focus on underground dub house and dub techno, deep house, minimal and downtempo. His versatility to move between different styles depending on audience and event, allows him to perform club gigs as well as festivals. He has played innumerable events both in his current home of Barcelona, as well as back in São Paulo, and, indeed, around the world.

We have been following Pedro for years now, and are honoured that he agreed to make us this exclusive guest mix, Institution 085: Pedro Capelossi!

It was during my stay in Panama that I discovered a song named " Pool " by Aladag, It really touched my heart !
The concept of the song talks about looking at life from the ending perspective to get a new approach to everything, and hopefully to be able through that switch to be more joyful, less critical, more connected to friends, to family!

These words reflect in my eyes my new family from Reactor/Radio Venao that expands every time anew with more normal and talented people full of love passion for doing and sharing - you are the best !

Noel Sanger is a Florida native with a career spanning nearly three decades in progressive house and trance. From his early experimentation with beats at the age of 11 to his deep dive into underground sounds at 17, Maze 28's journey has been characterized by unwavering exploration and growth.
In 2020, at the age of 18, he made his debut as Maze 28, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Since then, having garnered widespread acclaim, chart-topping success on platforms like Beatport, and releases with esteemed artists such as Silver Panda, Hernan Cattaneo, Ruben Karapetyan, and Cid Inc., Maze 28 has solidified his position as a force to be reckoned with in the global progressive house landscape.
His breakthrough came with "Mosaic" in 2023, a collaboration with the revered Melodic Techno duo Silver Panda.
