Deja-Move is coming up with a new and tremendous longplayer – ‘In The Meantime I Have Cooked Some Vegetables’.

One of the most untrue facts about Deja-Move is that many critics declaimed his music to be made of well known samples. The truth is that Aaron Bingle (known from Hotel Costes and Brazilectro) - who runs the project since 2001 - has been playing and recording the music in his Octupuss studio. All in all you can say that Deja-Move is handmade music, and maybe that is why the project got such a good recommendation in the Downbeat and Lounge music scenes. Deja-Move's music got released on more than 80 compilations worldwide on labels such like Sony/ BMG, Universal and Embassy of Music.
His 5th album combines elements of Soul, Reggae & Dub, Balkan, Downbeat, Hip Hop and Chill Out music. Deja-Move starts to step away from the world of strictly Lounge music into playing around with more different styles again, always keeping the Deja vibe in the focus.
The album is starting up with the Brazil and Soul influenced track 'Bring it Back' feat. Jazz singer MsJames from L.A.. Followed up by 'The Fever', a piece of classical Soul music combined with modern synthesizer sounds, that has got a heavy hips-winging note to it. You can find remix works like ‘Hey You’ from Frenchman Alan De Laniere. This track is an excursions into the Balkan music style that has hit Bingle while his work as a DJ. On the Downbeat side you will find the lovely & bittersweet remix of ‘S'posed To Be’ by Channel Two with ‘Joy Jones’. For the pure sweetness, Reggae and Dub lovers might feel the ‘Deja Love Dub’ and a rework of 'Justify' from Hanover's Roots Reggae Band The Vision. The remix of Nfa`s ‘Get Doh’ is a surprising step into Australians Hip Hop culture. ‘In The Meantime I have Cooked Some Vegetables’ finishes up with two smoothed out tracks. ‘Shade of Pearls’, a lovley ballad with a Hip Hop Beat underneath, sung by Hamburg’s Neele Ternes. And finally ‘Rotten’ that is featuring guest-artist Helen Naomie Schmidt.

In the 2018 year, the DJs collective/platform Global Funk based in the Basque Country celebrates the 10 year anniversary. During this period they've been organizing multiple events: parties with international and local guest DJs, such as Alice Russell & TM Juke, Nickodemus, Captain Planet, Tahira, Dusty, Txarly Brown, Jesús Bombín,... to name a few, collaborations with some festivals, shows and tours across Europe,... To celebrate this first decade, DJ Makala, the man behind since the beggining, has made a compilation with 20 tracks, describing the trajectory of Global Funk with differents songs, remixes, re-edits, re-works,... produced by themselves, which has been a kind of soundtrack of the collective during whole this first decade. Let's Dance in Baskenland!

Anyone familiar with Mop Mop will already know that their refined style has already lend them a unique place somewhere between the worlds of jazz, funk, latin and the Italian Postmodern style allowed the band to achieve the international film business as part of Woody Allen's 'To Rome With Love' movie soundtrack. 
But with this latest LP 'Isle Of Magic', Mop Mop digs even deeper to bring us one of their most engaging and organic records yet. Mop Mop's fourth studio album has come together over the course of a couple of years where producer Andrea Benini has been searching for new directions with the band.
Collaborations in the album include Funk legend Fred Wesley, Trinidad-born poet/singer Anthony Joseph and Finnish-Egyptian vocalist Sara Sayed. Over fifteen musicians were involved during the production of the album including Andrea Benini’s co-arranger Alex Trebo on piano, Pasquale Mirra on vibraphone and
marimba, Guglielmo Pagnozzi on clarinette and flute, Johannes Schleiermacher (Bajka, Radio Citizen, Woima Collective) on baritone sax, Lorenzo Ternelli and Salvatore Lauriola on bass and Danilo Mineo on percussions - just to name a few.
'Isle Of Magic' contains 13 tracks of pure Voodoo Jazz, Caribbean flavours, Afro-
Funk, Exotic rhythms and Soul music. The album has been recorded between
Germany and Italy with the use of vintage analog equipment to achieve a sound
with all the “warm” qualities of vintage analog tape recordings; sessions have been recorded during the period March/August 2011. Isle Of Magic is an imaginary land populated by musicians who spend their time fishing, cooking, playing and practicing Voodoo rites at night. The whole album represents the soundtrack of this imaginary life.
