Solid Steel in association with Serato (10th June) This week it's an Aus Music takeover starting with label boss Will Saul celebrating 10 years and the forthcoming release of 'Aus 100' compilation which will feature new and exclusive tracks from the boss as well as key family members Bicep, Midland, Huxley, Deetron, Nick Hoppner, Pearson Sound, Youandewan, Marquis Hawkes, Gerd, Sei A, Bwana, Fold, Shenoda and Appleblim & Komon. He had this to say about his mix;
“This set is a recording of the first two hours of my DJ set at the legendary Culture Box in Copenhagen in April. I was on first and started playing to an empty room, which tbh is my favourite scenario as you get a chance to set the tone and build a vibe. I used to do this every month for many years at The End in London where I was resident and it took me back to those days whilst playing….the sound system at Culture Box is incredible and the monitoring super tight so it was a pleasure to play and I’m really pleased I told them to record the show….I was fairly self indulgent to begin with playing some old favourites that I hadn’t heard in a while and then started to weave in some new jams. As always my sets are sprinkled with unreleased and forthcoming tracks and remixes on Aus and this set is no different. Despite it being a sweaty dark room the set somehow feels summery to me listening back…. ”
