Rising newcomer Jholeyson makes a stunning debut on Hot Creations with Discow, a fantastic two track release that draws inspiration from an eclectic range of musical genres.

The 12” begins with the title track Discow. A high-tempo house number, tinny hi hats merge with whip-like kicks, as an infectious vocal gives way to a pumping, four-to-the-floor drop. Plenty rounds off the release in a minimal, pulsing fashion. A squeaking, electronic bassline couples with soft bloops and subtle keys, as soft build ups lead into gently-changing crescendos.

Jholeyson is beginning to make real waves in the scene. Having produced standout releases for the likes of Posh Records, Harvibal and 1994 Music, it was in 2018 that the young upstart launched his own imprint: Sticker Music. Fast forward a year and the Discow EP marks another strong milestone in Jholeyson’s ever-flourishing career.

Montreal boys, Lucas & Alex have been pushing their own unique sounds for a couple years now. With their special vision, they’ve been able to create a fan base that follows them everywhere they go. They infuse their music and djing style with every essence of underground music. They take their listeners through a journey of groove that represents them. They are constantly pushing for that forward thinking-sound. After a couple years in the industry, they started their own brand WAL where each gathering is a new experience. With this project they’ve been able to put themselves in the greatest venues in Montreal. The best is yet to come for this young duo.
