Storyshift: Chara (+ Introduction)

Most people, when making Underswap Undyne tracks, make the song using the same exact instruments as the one in Alphys. It's perfectly okay to do this, but I don't think that instrumentation fits Undyne at all. This is just my take on it.

Seems like very few people have tried making Fallen Down for Storyshift. Well, here's my take on it. I put a little original twist on Nyeh Heh Heh and also altered the Fallen Down background to fit Papyrus' character a bit more.

if you look at v1 or even v3 and my recent music, there's so much of a disparity between quality of the songs. i feel like i have improved a lot in the past 11 months, going from "alphys with ghost fight instruments" to "literally making a whole ost"

so yes a lot has happened.

spongetale was probably the best music decision i've made recently, look at all the songs that have been made for it, 40-50. out of 88. jesus christ.

With the reveal of Undyne's new form, I thought I'd step back a bit and ponder if Trial by Water really fit the theme of her fight. The answer is it didn't. So I mixed together some Undyne greatness with one of my favorite game themes (can y'all guess?) and BAM. Rest in peace Trial By Water, and long live Storyshift!

Christmas At MTT Resort

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION. AND DON'T ASK ME TO FINISH ANY OF THESE!!!

2016 has been one hell of a year.

In one year I've gained such a tremendous following of people who genuinely enjoy my content, and for that I'm incredibly grateful. Unfortunately not everything this year has been a success for me. I've gone through several periods of brief depression and writer's block which has prevented me from reaching my full potential for both my music and my AU, Undertoad. Not every project of mine gets finished and published - most of them don't. So in celebration of this year, here are my failures. I'm ready to put this year behind me, face 2017, and become a better composer.

No, do not ask me to finish any of these. The reason I am posting this compilation is strictly BECAUSE I have no desire to continue working on them. If I do end up revisiting any of these projects it will be for my own reasons. So please. Don't. Fucking. Ask.

I'm now going to explain what each project is and why I decided to leave it unfinished. If you would like to try and guess what each song is and/or what it was intended for, feel free to not read this part until after you finished listening to the song.

1. Atomic
- This was intended to be an original Megalo-inspired song, to serve as a theme for myself alongside Emission. However at the time I was going through some personal things and I couldn't figure out what direction I wanted to take the song. Motifs were evading me as well. I also wanted to branch out. I felt that I had done too many songs like Megalovania (Emission and Friendly Fire to name two).

2. Brobotrousle: L-Type
- An early version of L-Trousle v2. I wanted to take it in a different direction, making it slower and giving it a swing, but I realized it just didn't fit Luigi's wacky and fastpaced personality. I trashed it and continued L-Trousle as normal.

3. Storyshift - Chara
- This one was actually pretty much done, but I HATED how it sounded. The 8-bit instruments proved incredibly obnoxious and I couldn't figure out how to mix it correctly. I've also changed my views on motifs recently, and if I do revisit the song in the future, a lot of it will be changed to be original.

4. Hip to be Mettaton
- When I was in Ireland I constantly had ideas for songs flying through my head - but my computer was still back home. I convinced myself that a DbG remix of Hip to be Square would be amazing and revolutionary...I couldn't make half the song. I couldn't, for my life, find a decent lead for the bridge. So I let it sit and I forgot about it.

5. Hueso Libre - Papyrus Suite
- Remember when Keno first made that Bonetrousle remix of We are Number One? Well, I wanted to do the same with one of my favorite childhood movies, Nacho Libre. The Ramses Suite is still awesome to listen to but I couldn't get very far after what I'd already made. I just had nowhere to go.

Wow. A full year. It's been a year. Man, how time flies.

I remember, January 2016, first starting making Undertale remixes. This was the very first one. I decided to remix it to commemorate the past 365 days. You'll notice some songs in there that are recent, and ones that are quite old. 

To prevent the song from being 30 goddamn minutes long, I've decided to not add any songs that you might have thought would be in this. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about them.

Still, I cannot believe it's been a whole year. It does not feel like one at all.

To all my followers who have decided to stick with me all this time: Thank you.

Consider this my thanks for listening to my music, for listening to what motivates my soul. The only thing I can muster up to say is just, "Thank you."

Let's hope for another year of me entertaining you all with what I create.

[Change of Events OST] - Glamour Glamour Plus! (& Papyrus)

Hey guys! Sorry again for the relative lack of activity these past few months. I figured I would at least try to give y'all something, and I thank everyone who's stuck with me through my hiatus. I've assembled yet another compilation, similar to the one I did back at the beginning of last year. Again, these are all projects that I've either abandoned or chosen to cut off for one reason or another, so please don't ask for them to be finished. They won't. Anyway, enjoy! And feel free to follow along with my list down below as you listen.

1. This first clip is from an "X and its Cohorts!" cover. I REALLY loved this song when it first came out for TS Underswap, so much so that I wanted to make own version of my own with my new guitar setup. Unfortunately, it never got past this first clip.

2. This next one is a "Big Arm" remix, in which I attempted to give the song some chill vibes. I couldn't quite get the mixing down the way I wanted to, and on top of that, I didn't really know where else I could go beyond the parts I had made, so for those reasons, it was scrapped.

3. I believe a little explaining is needed for this one. You see, a while back, my brother and I were spitballing video game ideas, and I came up with this little monkey guy character named Congro. This (I think) was my attempt at a main theme for his game.

4. Remember Livenlovania Part 2? Yeah, this was supposed to be "Hell or High Water: Part 2". It sounded neat, but it was too loud and not really necessary, imo.

5. This was supposed to be some kind of smooth jazz cover of Centrifugal, but I really couldn't seem to get it quite right. The drums always sounded off to me. That and, again, I didn't know how to keep the song going without it getting repetitititititii̢ti̴titi͠͞t̵̢̛i͢͝t̵̴i̸t̸͏i͏̨͞t̵̡̛̕͢į̴͡͞t͏͞í̢t̴̸̡͟i̡͍͎̦̒ͪ̀́ͣ̋ͫ́͢ͅt͌ͧ͂͊͛̓̀҉҉̨҉̰͔̺̯͍͓̥̭̪̫̯̩̪̲̼̯̜͍ȉ̡̮̹̻͖͓͕̲̺̟̫̻̫̳͉͍̙͊́͌ͫͨ͗͌̋͂͂̕͝t̵̡͇̮̜̘͖̖̫̟͚̘̞̙͇̯͕͇̀̐ͤͧ̈̀͘i̸̧̨̗̩͓̞͙̖̖̪̤̫̭̹̝͆̔̀̀̑̇ͫͯͤ̅̂ͫͣ̾̀t̸̶͚͕̣͉̖̬̮̜̗̤̳̬̘ͮ͒̉ͮ̿ͅ

6. Erasure! Great song. Let me tell ya, Shane was on my ass about completing this one for months, because I didn't want to work on it, but I also didn't want to officially scrap it. It still hurts a little bit, but here it is.

8. Before the official rebranding of UnderRacer, this was the last song I had planned. It was really just...Hopes and Dreams in another soundfont. I wanted to take it in a new direction, so I scrapped it in favor of a new one that I do hope to finish.

9. Okay, so there was this movie called Moana a few years ago. In it, there was song performed by Dwayne Johnson about a big dude on an island responding to a teenage girl's complete lack of gratitude in an elegant manner. Then I turned him into Asgore and this happened.

10. D-D-D-D-D-DEJA VU, I'VE JUST BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE (HIGHER ON THE STREET) AND I KNOW ITS MY TIME TO COME HOME. CALLING YOU, WHEN THE SUBJECT'S A MYSTERY (STANDING ON MY FEET) IT'S SO HARD WHEN I TRY TO BELIEVE. WHOOOA-OHHH-OH-OH.

11. Dr. Mario trousle! Sign me up! Then procedurally take my name off the list because I've decided it isn't worth it, considering how tired of Bonetrousles I was getting. This one was pretty finnicky the whole way through, as well. I only made it this far because the rest of it is a complete mess and I'd rather not share it.

12. Disclosure sucks and was really hard to work with. Next.

13. Man, remember PSY? Remember Gangnam Style? Remember MEGALOVANIA? Yeah, I tried to do the unthinkable and combine those two songs without simultaneously causing Yellowstone to rupture. Good thing I stopped myself or y'all would be reading this through a pile of ash.

The original was one of my favourite pieces of Drop's work, and Toast's version was an improvement even on that.
I feel like my original take on this was super lacking, and given how much I've improved, I decided to do another version on it.
