"Little Brother" is a soulful blues collaboration between Maeki Maii and Jason Langvee that explores the complexities of sibling relationships. Blue September

There are many versions and different traditions of the story of the Magi and about their journey. And about their origin. Pictured on the cover is a drawing found in the 'Catalan Atlas,' a map of the world dated to the late 14th century. Pictured here are the three kings. The caption reads: “This province is called Tarshish, from which came the Three Wise Kings, and they came to Bethlehem in Judaea with their gifts and worshipped Jesus Christ, and they are entombed in the city of Cologne two days journey from Bruges.”
But where was the city (or the country) called Tarshish (Tarsis, Tharsis), whose king was already mentioned in Psalm 72?
No one, exactly, knows.

I recorded the guitar part in 2018, when bought a Guild (my Washburn had become mute ...), so the track has a lot of noise and imperfections. Then there were several attempts to organize the piece and arrange it. This could be the last one. It came rather long and slow. But long and slow was also that improbable (and hardly true) journey - perhaps one could imagine it by closing the eyes and listening to the music.

Pity Party

The track is inspired by the rise of AI in the ARTS.....which I see as coming from the "dark side". I don't condone it and am very much opposed to it. We can already see the confusion it has caused regarding copyright etc. I have no doubt that in the short term it will prevail, however "real" art will survive as long as all artists (musical and otherwise), continue to create. Not having a crystal ball, prevents one, maybe for the better, seeing how the future pans out.  
Meanwhile from a musician's/composer's aspect, I shall endeavour to play and create without the use of AI. Neither will I listen to it in any shape or form.

Lyrics

by a wandering tortoise.
The Bicycle jerk forwarded his suddenly pushed on the brake, an open can of energy drink
was then flung from his free hand, spilling over the tortoise.

 I composed this music based on an acapella found on the looperman.com website. I usually compose the harmonies and then look for the melody; I wanted to try the opposite. Unfortunately, I learned that the voice used was an AI. I am therefore making this piece available for real singers. You may or may not be inspired by the title WannaBe your lover that I still published, but you are free to do something else.
