From samba and bossa nova to swing standards and original music, The Shy Birds is a group of broadly talented and eclectic musicians. Hailing from different parts of the globe, members Daniel Ondaro (US), Johannes Heger (Germany) and Petros Tzekos (Greece) came together in Berlin, Germany in early 2013, where they immediately found a cohesive and joyful sound together. With the instrumentation of acoustic guitar and voice, upright bass, and percussion the band weaves refined and classic Brazilian and Swing music with a serious and silly touch.
