woo pandora - the epimetheus conundrum

Assistance

In Greek myth, Pyrrha is the daughter of Epimetheus and Pandora. She marries Deukalion and, as a couple, they repopulate the earth after a mankind-eradicating, devastating flood brought about by moody, irritated deities. Rampant symbolism is the trademark of her story, setting free new hope after the tragedy and being protected and being held by a natriarchal vessel. There is no round-character-equivalent to Pyrrha in the more patriarchal myths of Utnapishtli or Noah. Deukalion (son of Prometheus) being her first cousin, a strong whiff of ancient incest (as institutionalized in Egyptian culture) cannot be denied.

As part of the Ten Days On The Island Festival, Tasmania in April 2025 The Intonarumori Trio got asked to perfrom at The opening of "When The Fog Clears" ( in which I had a sound installation exhibited). This little snipper is from the warm up rehearsal, recorded in a vast open room  with concrete floor and ceiling the sound played and bounced around. We haven't played togather for a bit over a year so it great to shake off the dust here before hitting the festival - and that bang at the end is the sound of an Intonarumori snapping a string !! Loo(p)cy is a project by Italian multi-instrumentalist Lucia Caiazza. She began studying classical piano then she fell in love with  electric guitar, becoming a rock guitarist and singer during her teenage years and beyond.  During the  last 8 years, Loo(p)cy has released ten albums, alone and collaborating with other musucians.  Her style has evolved into electronics, noise, post rock with oniric soundscapes.
