Sam Wilson's first ambient endeavor on Lucid Dream Records is an emotional voyage through atmospheric dimensions. The sonic palette meticulously painted by this Chilean ambient & techno artist evokes the sensation of diving headlong into an undiscovered ocean of sound. Lisa is a Tokyo-based Japanese DJ who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of the techno and psychedelic music scenes both in Japan and Europe. She uses hypnotic techno music to access the subconsciousness of her audience, believing that music has a great power to positively affect their lives. Lisa's sets are characterized by their experimental elements and flow, which seek to take listeners on a higher journey. Her sound is influenced by past greats from a variety of genres, including her own philosophy of life. With her unique approach, listeners can expect to experience something fresh each time.

She started DJ career in 2022, performing at outdoor festivals, and actively DJing abroad with the aim of doing Japan's underground culture to the world, she started her own event "Resonance" and welcomed artists who sustained underground electronic music scene.

“Specimens” by Mare Monstrum, aka Darkduction.

This experimental work completely recorded in an improvised take, consists of three tracks that will transport you to the abyssal confines of the ocean, where light fades and mystery reigns. Inspired by the sounds and frequencies of the creatures that inhabit the bottom of the sea, “Specimens” is an aural exploration of a hidden and fascinating world.

Track 1: “Specimens I”.
The journey begins with “Specimens I,” a composition that captures the vastness and solitude of the ocean depths. Using dark drones and deep reverberations, this track evokes the constant murmur of abyssal currents and echoes of distant sounds. Elements of underwater percussion and ethereal synthesizers mimic the hidden language of deep sea species, creating an immersive atmosphere that invites introspection and wonder.

Track 2: “Specimens II”.
The second track, “Specimens II,” explores the phenomenon of bioluminescence in abyssal creatures. With sonic textures that glow and sizzle, this piece plays with rhythmic pulses and twinkling melodies that represent the luminous and chemical signals used by marine organisms to communicate in the dark. Electronic whispers and layers of white noise simulate an environment where the visible and the invisible intertwine, creating a mesmerizing and enigmatic sound tapestry.

Track 3: “Specimens III”.
The journey concludes with “Specimens III,” an immersion into the deep, resonant sounds of the oceanic trenches. This track combines vibrant low frequencies with slow, pulsating rhythms, evoking the sensation of tectonic movement and the presence of hidden giants. Processed sound effects simulate the creaking and groaning of the earth's plates and the strange songs of abyssal creatures.

“Specimens” is a sonic odyssey that captures the essence of the unknown and celebrates the richness of abyssal life.
