Australian DJ /producer Uone is the next guest to step up for a Balance Selections podcast. Known for his fun and energetic DJ sets, Uone has become a regular on lineups for some of the more upfront global festivals and events. With a sound that initially drew on elements from all genres of the electronic sphere, he has now found his niche in producing and playing deep, chunky and twisted tech house - and it is with this resolve that he has managed to carve out a name for himself on the international circuit.

Raised in Melbourne’s Peninsula Coast, demand for Uone's sets has truly transgressed the borders of Australia with invites to play at Burning Man (Nevada), Fusion (Berlin), Glade (UK), Universo Paraleo (BR), Boom (Portugal), Ozora (HU), Eclipse (AUS), and more recently, the Rainbow Serpent Festival in Australia. He will be returning to Europe and the United States for a string of events over the Northern Hemisphere summer which includes Burning Man in the United States, the Secret Garden Party in the United Kingdom, and the Heinz Label Night in Berlin.

Production-wise, Uone has released a steady stream of dance floor weapons which has led to him being signed with Beef Records and Chameleon Recordings, and his array of deep house and techno tracks has found a home on labels like Katermukke, Heinz, Light My Fire and Tonkind Records.

As Uone celebrates his 15th year of Dj-ing, he delivers a mix that is filled with audible nostalgia as he opts for orchestral melodies and percussive blends that signal to the old and new. Watch out for tracks and remixes from a diverse group of artists like Tube & Berger, Loco Dice, Maya Jane Coles, and of course Uone himself – all bookended by a special Balance Intro and Outro which Uone has produced exclusively for this podcast.

3 QUESTIONS to KRINK:

Q: You´ve been playing in lots of countrys yet. What was the most special moment/place for you?

A: Coming to a new place is always special to me. Though it gets more exciting the further you are from home. It still amazes me that people care for something you initially did alone, more or less for yourself and that you can come to a different city, country or even continent and there are people who know what you do and appreciate it, thats great!

Q: Describe your live-setup: How do you play your sets?

A: My live-set up is changing constantly, I usually have my Laptop with stems and loops from my productions, a drum machine and a delay with me. Sometimes I might take a synth or a keyboard with me.

Q: What´s coming next musicially?

A: There are a couple of remixes coming out in the next few weeks and I am currently working on new original material, since I have been quite busy with remixing lately, it´s good to concentrate on that a bit more now.

Yule (@yulemansur)is a Cultural Producer and has beeing DJing for the last five years. She already performed in parties and festivals like Voodoohop (BRA); Det Gode Selskab (NOR); TAZ Festival (ISR); Fayah / Gruta / 4FinestEars / Sonido Trópico (BRA); and has tracks released on Tropical Twista Records (BRA), Casa Caos (BRA), Drosssel (DEU). In 2017 she also participated of the round table "Diversity at Night" by Hot Content in Rio Music Conference, one of the biggest events to discuss electronic music in Brasil.
Yule is gaining space in underground electronic scene and recently involved in the creation of the label Unsbeat (@unsbeat), where her activities as a music curator has begun. There comes a fresh compilation until finish of 2017.
