On any overcast night deep within the supernatural suburbs of Brooklyn, one could find Space Jesus and Esseks hard at work conjuring their next otherworldly audio concoction. Simultaneously eerie and enchanting, "Dopplebangers" reaches deep toward the roots of bass music, subtly mixing complex sound design with engaging harmony. The nocturnal, haunting, and spooky nature of the songs comes across as an unexpected breath of fresh air in a musical landscape so deprived of ingenuity and originality. Arriving fresh on the scene with a debut of anthemic proportions, France-born Trinidad-raised Toronto resident Kill Them With Colour aka producer Wesley Marsh joins forces with Chase & Status-helmed UK label MTA Records for new single ‘Get High’. The track has already seen plaudits from leading lights including The Magician, who included it in his Magic Tape 48, and Pete Tong and Annie Mac who have played ‘Get High’ numerous times on BBC Radio 1.

Kill Them With Colour’s inspired remixes of a diverse range of artists including ZHU, Raury, Kendrick Lamar, Marian Hill, Zella Day, Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky and Notorious B.I.G. alongside genre-hopping and deftly produced original tracks have notched up over 8 million combined views and listens on YouTube and Soundcloud, making him a mainstay in the Hype Machine charts with Hype M Radio listing KTWC’s remix of Ariel Pink’s ‘Round and Round’ as the #9 overall remix that year. Most recently, his original song ‘Always Somethin’ garnered worldwide success, tallying over 1 million plays on Soundcloud and drawing coverage from THUMP, Complex, Hypetrak, Earmilk, Indie Shuffle, Hilly Dilly, Do Androids Dance and DJ Mag to name just a few.

His debut single proper, ‘Get High’ is a huge statement of intent, opening with rolling trap snares and a rousing female vocal before a UK flavoured 4x4 beat takes to the floor. There’s something deliciously off-kilter about it too, as a distorted flute riff (yes, flute) drops in halfway through, heralding a gargantuan breakdown. The single is backed with a moody, bass-laden VIP version along with a ramped up club-ready Extended Mix.

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light. If you can, I encourage you to purchase a digital or physical copy of A Color Map of the Sun. If not simply support by sharing the music and sharing the idea. If there is any success to be had from this album, it will go back into my rule bending, never ending quest to channel beauty and taste through music and art.
