Bringing together a plethora of original tracks crafted throughout the past twelve months, the album ‘Rewind’ showcases ImButcher’s incomparable creativity alongside an unwavering professionalism. His finely tuned skill for sound design meets with a clear passion for music, fusing elements of electro pop with deep house in a seamless, hypnotic fashion. The 18-strong collection proves as entrancing as it is exotic, nostalgic, and brilliantly refreshing. 

An innovator in his field by all accounts, ImBucher has put together a playlist fit for the late night festival stages as much so as the all-night private gatherings and even the long commute. From pristine audio craftsmanship, to thoughtful, deeply human subject matter, with captivating melodies and stunning build-ups, the album’s use of contrast allows each and every track to offer its own compelling drop into euphoric intensity. 

Offering subtle hints of influence from a broad range of big names, ImButcher’s love for the likes of Depeche Mode contrasts powerfully with his connection to contemporary rock acts like Muse. Faultlessly uniting unusual chord patterns with satisfying melodic developments, introducing a number of sincere and memorable vocalists, each composition on the project works hard to deliver its own moment of utter escapism for the listener.  

Ever unique in his process, ‘Rewind’ highlights an eclectic yet clearly heartfelt and emotive way with songwriting. From the production details to structural and lyrical choices, every moment adds soulful intention to the sound, effectively elevating ImButcher above the vast majority of his peers. There’s an intricate and considerate method of artistry to his work, and for all of these reasons, the new album seeks to boldly transcend that which came before.

Music is an aural sensory form that exists within very concise limitations. It has a definite beginning and end. Notes sound, then they fall away and decay. This is not in my music. Whereas, music has energy, my music is the energy.

My music is the now. It is the absolute, unadulterated expression of pure existence manifesting itself from one instant to the next. It is one single moment replicating itself eternally with unlimited variations. It is neither light nor dark, joy nor sorrow, creation nor destruction; it is pure energy. It simply is.

It is pure beautiful confusion and continuous cosmological chaos. 

It’s algorithms are the same algorithms which constitute your DNA and its throbbing life pulse is the exact same vibration which is infinitely occurring at the very epicenter of each and every sub-atomic particle in the entirety of creation – including the ones which make up the being which you have learned to call yourself.

Never afraid to go too deep, dark or ethereal, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up with all genres of electronic music, all which became infused with his own love for underground electronic music, Ben SCSI ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful underground tech work, ethereal backdrops, slamming basslines, and that kick pass through your body.

Ben SCSI loves to make people dance and takes them to another world fused by euphoric themes, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, video creator, promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically.
