I Am A Lion

This song is about the new Tesla Giga-Factory which is built in/near Grünheide (in Brandenburg in Germany). It describes the problems which will arise by this gigantic project which should have been settled better near the old brown coal fields in the Lausitz and not in this beautiful green recreational area. Here is the German text:

Früher konnte man hier schön relaxen

Deutschland hat seit Kurzem einen neuen Held,
ich hab’ mir gleich ´nen neuen Tesla bestellt.
Elon Musk will in Grünheide eine Gigafactory bauen
und wird dabei voraussichtlich die gesamte Gegend versauen.

Fast alle hier in Brandenburg sind euphorisiert,
denn nur wenige haben Physik oder Chemie studiert.
Große Lithium-Ionen-Batterien liefern den Strom für den Wagen,
aber wie die später entsorgt werden, dass kann bisher niemand genau sagen.

„Rin“ in die Mülltonne und „jut“ ist’s, oder nicht? - Genau!

Tesla bringt für die Region die wirtschaftliche Wende,
doch für die Natur und den Tourismus bedeutet dies das Ende.
Früher konnte man hier schön relaxen,
doch demnächst fliegen hier die Fetzen.
12 000 Leute fahren täglich hin und her,
und dazu kommt noch der ganze Schwerverkehr.
Der stört doch sehr!

Tesla bekommt 300 Hektar Land für ´nen Appel und ein Ei,
später sind dann auch noch üppige Subventionen mit dabei.
Noch sind die Verträge gar nicht unterschrieben,
da fallen schon die Bäume und die Wildtiere, die werden einfach vertrieben.
Sogar die Grünen sind dafür …

doch das braucht viel Wasser und die grüne Gegend wir zu ödem Sand.
Die Bürger in Hangelsberg und Fangschleuse greifen bereits zu ihren Waffen,
doch 12 000 neue Arbeitsplätze werden hier geschaffen.

Aber wahrscheinlich kommen nur ein paar Arbeiter aus der Region,
denn für normale Malocher gibt es ja nur einen Hungerlohn.
Was liegt näher, als daran zu glauben,
dass bei Tesla bald sehr viele Polen schrauben.

Tesla braucht über 240 Kubikmeter Wasser pro Stunde,
das reißt aber ins Grundwasser ´ne große Wunde.
Konnte man früher mit dem Boot auf der kleinen Löcknitz schippern,
muss man nun ganz furchtbar um das Grundwasser zittern.

Wenn die Teslas später erst mal rollen,
bleibt es meist beim Habenwollen. (ach herrje!)
Denn die Autos sind ja furchtbar teuer,
sowas fährt ja nur ein Andreas Scheuer.

Und wenn ein Tesla erst mal brennt,
brennt nicht nur der Wagen,
sondern die ganze Straße wird versengt,
und es wird Zeit, dass man ganz schnell rennt! Rennt!
