The 28th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital features the debut of Hasan Mogol to the label.  Born in Germany but now residing in Turkey, Hasan's hypnotic brand of tech house has been spawned from a diverse range of influences that include Sven Vath and Sasha.  His most recent work has earned support from world renowned DJ Hernan Cattaneo who showcased two tracks on his Resident Delta FM radio show.  Hasan's debut EP for Perspectives is titled 'Euridice' and comes with four brand new original productions.

The mesmerizing rhythms of 'Euridice' lead the release off in fine fashion. A warm, groovy foundation along with laser-like lines carries the track to the main break where a quirky lead comes to life.  After a stretch of mind-bending modulation, the lush groove makes a tasteful re-entry and pushes the track to a thrilling conclusion.

The second composition 'Fictional' finds Hasan focusing on a driving, dancefloor-oriented construction.  Its dubby rhythms and gigantic bass swells carve out an exceptional groove and the tension-filled breakdown is the icing on the cake.

The EP's third selection 'Anachronie' shows an even deeper aspect of Hasan's production arsenal.  Its rolling basslines and spacey electronics make it the trippiest selection on the EP and should delight the ever-growing populous of nu house aficionados out there.

The fourth and final selection 'Prolepse' closes the EP off with a deep, late night vibe.  Its lush textures and panning tones are undeniably hypnotic and the cinematic pads deliver an airy elegance which exudes class.  It puts a perfect cap on the EP, which is undoubtedly the best work of Hasan's surging career.

The Argentine’s refreshing approach to DJ’ing and making music has ensured that over a decade on from the time he exploded into the public consciousness, he’s as engrossing a force as ever. His contemporary sound continues his love of rich melody and atmospheric textures, but draws on possibly a wider palette of producers and styles than ever.
Cattaneo has constructed a truly incredible chapter of the Balance series, beautifully sequenced and mixed and packed full of stunning new material that can’t be heard anywhere else. Such attention to detail and quality should come as no surprise from one of the true masters of the game.

The funkiness, lightness of melody, dub-infused production and genre-bending approach creat esomething really special. Chilled yet danceable - very nice. Klartraum dub the track out by stripping back and resequencing the constituents to give a nuttier, crunchier texture, but still with a spacious coolness. "The Ripper" is a more straightforward drving number - but of nearly as high quality. It is "Full Focus" that brings back the funkiness and captivates me once more. This time Kartraum surpass the original with their re-rub that emphasises unexpected percussive elements to great effect. Genius. 8/10

Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch return as Klartraum for release #164 on Lucidflow, one that sees the prolific production duo head deep into space opera territory on 'Weltenwandler'. You may recognise the title track already from when it featured on their 10 years of Lucidflow celebratory vinyl issuing. For those who missed out, this is a second bite of the apple and a chance to get lost in the gently undulating melody. The key moment here are the small moments where the key shifts ever so slightly, revealing a master plan in scene setting.

Next up we have 'Rim Satar', which fully embraces pulpy eighties sci-fi with the--frankly--epic space pad that hangs over the top. Huge, textural, and near on dominating if it was not for the sharp percussion that pinpricks like distant stars. Finally, 'Urgrund' rounds off the trilogy, playing fully to the opera aspect with frozen orchestral instruments and choirs drifting through space, cryogenically frozen in everlasting reverb.
