Si-Moon - Am Limit [EP Teaser] [PSR Music]

Harvey’s highly anticipated single starts with the title track ‘Lost’ that comprises of a catchy vocal hook and rhythmic synth stabs to set the mood. This is layered over a straight, serious beat that has lots of energy and grit to make any speaker stack shake. ‘Find My Mind’ uses a mixture of reversed and straight hats to create a funky groove that is sprinkled with hypnotic synth stabs and a mesmerising vocal. ‘Hard To See’ uses a funky sub bass in combination with some swinging drums to create a groove that will rattle the speakers and bring the house down.

DC120 - Harvey McKay - Find My Mind - Drumcode

Harvey McKay starts his next single using a killer vocal hook and heavy-duty synth stabs to full effect, conjuring up more of Harvey’s unique style with ‘Silk Road’. The second track ‘Slip’ uses ghostly pads that float over the top of a crisp, chuggy kick drum combining two different qualities before welcoming the percussive synth blips into the mix. The third and final track ‘Start Running’ is chuggy and uses a mesmerising bass loop to draw a dancefloor in. The vocal stabs sit nicely on top before the lead vocal gives the track character and definition.

Slam unleash their 2nd, pre album single in the form of some heavyweight versions of tracks taken from the stellar 'Reverse Proceed' dropping this October. Alongside the boys themselves, Slam have enlisted fellow Glaswegian producers Hans Bouffmyhre & Edit Select as well as Truncate to bring their own unique takes to 'Factory Music' and 'Cirklon Bells'

Slam step up first to provide a reinterpretation of Factory Music that sees them almost completely revamp the original. Slam ramp up the tension in the track as driving percussion rides the tsunami provided by one hell of a synth line.

More recently popping up on Soma under his Secluded guise, Hans Bouffmyhre follows up from Slam with an energetic remix of Factory music. His signature, sub heavy Techno comes out in full force as he perfectly loops out the original and balances a solid drum workout smoothly in a groove ridden, peak hour track.

The always on form Truncate brings his jacked up funk to Cirklon Bells, one of the more ambient pieces from Reverse Proceed. The mind melting synths are merged with Truncate's stuttered, distorted percussion giving this a real Chicago flavour.

Tony Scott aka Edit Select rounds off the package on a deeper tip. More subtle drums are used, giving this remix the typical hypnotic mood found throughout his music. The ethereal atmospheres are effectively used in the backbone of the track bringing the usual Edit Select profoundness to the remix

Jos&Eli – Yossi seluk and Eli abutbul are two 80′s born guys from Ashdod Israel. Since childhood they had a keen interest in music- Jos had a special touch with the keyboards and Eli was grooving with the drums. Since they collaborated and started making music together – people knew their music would be hot and make waves!
After graduating high school and serving 3 years in the army Jos&Eli returned to their love of music. This time their focus was on the electronic genre – which took over the hottest clubs in Israel by the most popular artists globally.
Their journey began in 2013 with their first track titled “the beginning” on a minor dutch label. The track got a lot of praise which in turn gave Jos and Eli the confidence and drive to continue their journey in the music industry.
Recently, they have scaled up their music by releasing 10 tracks at various labels playing in the biggest clubs in Tel-Aviv and israel .
Jos&Eli are two motivated and talented individuals making unique sounds their in the electronic space and stay tuned as you will be hearing a lot more from them in the near future.

Lucidflow favourite Paul Moore (GER) from Germany returns to the imprint, following up his last success ‘Koyote EP’.
Hitting archetypal Lucidflow motifs of dub and micro programming, understated is main feeling that comes to mind when listening to this five tracker.
For example, the percussion of the title track is controlled with a tight leash; intricate but never busy. Use of melodic elements is sparing, creating a cavernous arena for pads to swell and FX to reverberate.
Each successive track feels like forging deeper through the cave as lightness is gradually extinguished. ‘Evolve’ hushes its kicks into a gentle pat, allowing sprightly percussion to take the lead as almost imperceptibly oscillating dub chords act as the glue.
‘Out of Focus’ features reversing elements that whip around a scattering of frozen chords, while ‘Light Runner’ reduces further, the dub element sits in the distance as an elongated texture with only the odd snarl and lick rising to the foreground.
Offering a relatively lighter experience to the dark, Nadja Lind takes ‘Hollow Inside’ and subtly lifts its pulse. The beats and bass sway around each other as the melodic elements bounce off the walls.
