After his debut on ASIP with the ‘impossible instrument’ focused album, Multiverse, https://soundcloud.com/gadisassoon follows with the Chaos & Order EP. Inspired by the relationship between the organic, synthetic and bionic elements of his approach to music creation, the EP comes to life across a number of versions, remixes and formats, inviting the listener to immerse themselves through the EP's fundamental elements in various different ways. https://asip.me/asipv037

Consisting of three core pieces of music, with each one originally conceived as Quadraphonic, the release expands into two immersive listening experiences. Firstly, the digital album with accompanying Binaural* mixes designed for expansive headphone listening and Dolby Atmos** versions for compatible devices. Second, a limited edition 2LP lathe cut, where each quadraphonic track has been split into two stereo versions, across 4 sides of vinyl, resulting in various potential playback scenarios.

“The continuum with synthetic and organic at opposite ends and bionic in the middle, bleeding into one another… that’s the roadmap of my work. I like this simple diagram because it’s easy to navigate, and there is so much to explore within and between these realms. When I write, I splay and combine these elements on more than two speakers if I can. The stereo field is a coded language, as are standard immersive formats that force the listener in a fixed perspective. Fine methods of delivery, but the experience of sound can be so much more - a happening…” - Gadi Sassoon.

This music ‘hacking’ mentality is further extended into three remixes of the tracks by fellow purveyors of intricate sound design; Olga Wojciechowska, Max Würden and FRKTL. Olga takes ‘Organico’ into a dramatic orchestral beat-driven space, Max Würden adds structure and warmth to Sintetico, and Sarah Badr (aka FRKTL) tunes extreme deconstruction in Bionico.

The end result is an experience that can be listened to in many different ways, across many different formats, inviting the listener closer to the many elements Gadi honed and crafted across his studio in Milan, and the EMS Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm.

Featuring artwork by Noah M / Keep Adding, and mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri, Chaos & Order will be available as a digital album on Bandcamp featuring the original tracks, remixes and Binaural Versions and a 2LP Lathe Cut (30 copies) featuring the Quadraphonic Versions. There will also be a limited edition Metallic Print of the artwork available on Bandcamp

Author of the soundtrack of the documentary "Les Délivrés" by Thomas Grandremy, the reference of electronic music Maxime Dangles extends his composition work with this album. The alienation, stress, struggle and hope of the documentary's protagonists were his sources of inspiration. The soundtracks of the journey of these bicycle delivery men have been transformed into tracks to carry the struggle of Damien, Clément and Yoro further and continue to denounce the excesses of capitalism. A work that poetically extends the poignant and necessary work of the director, with an impeccable and immersive sound design, enamelled with dialogues from the documentary.
The result is nine tracks between ambient, IDM and electronica, exploring the story from all angles and feelings; from union demands and the struggle with "Affrontement", an incisive track inviting reflection to raw and metallic sounds or "Révolte", on the borders of destructured club music and IDM; from hope to dreams with the contemplative and deep "Velibre", “Matin Bleu” and "Liberate" or the melodious "Vitesse"; anguish and disillusionment with "Operate", the melancholic "Matin Rose" or the experimental and immersive "Mauvais Rêve", punctuated with the voices of the documentary.
A militant sound narrative of great finesse, affirming the richness of Maxime Dangles' production work and his ability to draw singular landscapes from which strong emotions emerge, following in the footsteps of Hans Zimmer, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' original soundtracks, while exploring the most experimental side of club music.
'Les Délivrés' LP will be available on vinyl and digital February, 17th on Lifeguards - a new sub-label of Astropolis Records, and Maxime Dangles will premiere his new live show at Astropolis l'Hiver February, 11th alongside Kittin & The Hacker, SPFDJ, Volition Immanent, Infravision or Zohar. Profits will be donated to French association Utopia 56: The vinyl will be distributed by Bigwax and all profits will be donated to Utopia 56, a humanitarian association that helps exiled people and anyone in distress in France. Since 2015, the association has been present in Calais to provide emergency material aid and denounce human rights violations and police violence, and through numerous actions throughout France. The association provides emergency aid on the ground for vulnerable people, particularly unaccompanied minors, through outreach activities, distribution of food and shelter. Maxime Dangles entered the electronic music scene 15 years ago, with a first release on Kompakt. Throughout his career, he has made his mark on the Bedrock, Skryptöm and Herzblut labels and remixes big names of the electronic scene such as Moby, Green Velvet, Simian Mobile Disco ou Kittin & The Hacker. The 2010s mark a turning point in his career.

Jamie Myerson lands on Modern Conveniences with a massive extended play. Deliberate Disguises showcases Myerson's exceptional talent in creating distinctive and mesmerizing soundscapes. "Shape Without Form" features an immersive soundscape that blends intricate breakbeats with ethereal pads, creating an otherworldly atmosphere and building toward a stunning changeup. “Shade Without Color” is a loving homage to ‘90s atmospheric jungle, while "Gesture Without Motion" showcases Myerson's ability to blend contrasting sounds and textures to create a cohesive whole. The synth-heavy title track closes out the EP, effortlessly merging autonomic and synthwave.

Deliberate Disguises is available worldwide on March 24th.
