Disquiet Junto Project 0591: The Loneliest Number
The Assignment: Record the first third of a trio.

Last summer, after an accident, I had to stop playing double bass. This is my second attempt to get back to the instrument after months of silence, I thought this could be a nice opportunity to share the process and slowly start to get my hands on it to see how it feels and how my body responds to playing.
Focused on improvisation, gesture, silence and number 7. 

7 seconds of music are followed by 7 seconds of silence. 14 seconds of music are followed by 14 seconds of silence. 21 seconds of music are followed by 21 seconds of silence. Repeat and then decrease time until the last 7 seconds of silence.
Loosely based on recording pre-count at ~ 60.50 bpm 
No timer was used during the process, so there may be irregularities.
I only played my double bass open G string with a bow.
Added some slight Mimeophon delay-modulation then a bit of chorus + phaser + tape effect (encoderaudio Ferro) in Ableton Live.
I kept volume low in order to make it possible to work on it and mix further things for future use.

The popular French radio brand has expanded its PURE Jingles package with additional custom-composed themes to make their novelty sound complete.

In March of 2023, Chérie FM launched into a new era of audio branding. The reason for this was a desire to evolve the brand from a softer towards a more modern AC format, including uptempo and contemporary songs. The station is using this strategy to appeal to a mostly female audience in the 25-49 demographic.

“The French Médiamétrie ratings are mostly based on brand recall. So the station was looking for jingles that drive their positioning and brand name home”, Thomas Giger of PURE Jingles explains. “The latter is achieved by a memorable logo, always sung in a specific way.”

“Apart from building and then maintaining Chérie FM’s brand awareness, the jingles needed to be functional for creating era transitions, like segueing from a 80s classic into a 00s record or vice versa. And doing that quickly to keep the flow going. Some of the Basic IDs are just 7 to 9 seconds long. In this case, less is more.”

Trots op mijn meest recente werk voor het avondprogramma van Kai Merckx op Qmusic! Ik heb vijf jingles 'from scratch' mogen produceren.
De jingles moesten warmte uitstralen en passen bij de gezelligheid van Kai’s programma. Een geweldige uitdaging naast al mijn andere werkzaamheden voor Qmusic.

Daarnaast heb ik de openingssong voor Kai in een nieuw jasje gestoken, met behoud van de oorspronkelijke tekst.

"The finding that unintended proteins may be produced as a result of vaccination is sufficient cause for regulators to conduct full risk assessments of past or future harms that may have ensued. We note that regulators have previously failed to insist on the study and assessment of risk of the pharmacology and toxicology of novel spike protein heterotrimers forming after injection of the bivalent COVID-19 modRNA vaccines.
The paper was received by Nature on January 25, 2023, accepted for publication on October 31, 2023 and published today, December 6, 2023. This time frame appears rather protracted given the significance of these findings. The study was funded and conducted by agencies of the United Kingdom. The evidence for the formation of off-target proteins must surely be considered a reportable adverse event.
We must assume UK regulators, manufacturers, and international regulatory agencies, including FDA, were apprised of the data many months ago. We await their account of what steps they have taken to investigate why the formation of off-target proteins was not discovered sooner, what toxic effects they may have caused and what steps they are taken to prevent harm in the future and to inform the public of these findings."
