For GETLUCKY 001 we bring you DONNY, our resident caterer of feel-good, funky, bass-driven deep house.

DONNY is a House/Tech House DJ based out of Melbourne, VIC. 
Having started DJing in 2014 after falling in love with the Melbourne music scene, DONNY has - in a very short time - found a deep love and understanding of house music. 

He started his music career as a percussionist, drumming in several bands throughout his teenage years. Having grown up on an eclectic range of music, DONNY has taken inspiration from a wide range of artists, namely, James Blake, Stevie Wonder, and Tool.

More recently DONNY has taken influence from the likes of Claptone, Super Flu, Claude Vonstroke, Green Velvet and Dusky.

GETLUCKY 001 - DONNY

Disco Volante is open weekly on a Thursday night at OneSixOne from 8pm- 6am. Held over three floors/three rooms, including a spacious recently renovated rooftop. The rooftop holds up to 100 people, has heated seating, a retractable undercover roof, a brand new cocktail bar and a kitchen BBQ area. The night covers music from disco + funk (rooftop), house + techno (main room) as well as down tempo ambient deep house/electronica (165).

Founded in 2014, Disco Volante has proudly hosted artists like; Monkey Safari (Monaberry / GER), Miguel Campbell (UK), Mr Doris, Abby Jane (Dirtybird), Juliet Fox (Suara), U-Khan (Sydney), Made In Paris (Sydney), Illya (Sydney), Ciruke (Brisbane), The Journey, Agent 86, Sunshine, Kids Table, Doakes and Tahl...

Our residents are Ben Lawrence, The Milkman, Anyo, Oliver Winton, Deltoid Curve and El Madera.

Working with DJs from local crews such as Thick as Thieves, Void, Trust Events, Boogie Beats, Friends With Benefits and Quality Project there is no shortage of versatility.

Lucky Coq dances to its own beat. Named after its Chinese Zodiac birth month, this venue is quirky and comfortable with mismatched lounges. At Lucky Coq, DJs bang out hybrid beats seven nights a week with Post Alpine Crypt-Hop, Troppy Jazz, Jungle Bounce, Pre-Human House, Doublestep Ghetto, Space Invader Jazz, Infinity Funk, Melbourne City Bass and Windows 95 themes.
