The joule (pronounced /ˈdʒuːl/, JOOL or /ˈdʒaʊl/ JOWL; symbol: J) is the unit of energy in the International System of Units (SI).[1] It is equal to the amount of work done when a force of 1 newton displaces a mass through a distance of 1 metre in the direction of the force applied. It is also the energy dissipated as heat when an electric current of one ampere passes through a resistance of one ohm for one second. 

It is named after the English physicist James Prescott Joule (1818–1889), but perhaps more importantly, the name is adopted by a 2020s Brooklyn based DJ/producer who's experimenting how he can harness creative energy to generate heat & magnify the spiciness of others - he's a Sagittarius after all

For this one weekend of September 22, 2018, all around the globe, people join together to dance as one global community, united with a common vision for peace and humanitarian aims (Earthdance International). Every event across the globe recites a Prayer for Peace at the same moment – morning in the Australian rainforest, afternoon in California, dusk in Florida, midnight in London, and sunrise over the Himalayas.

Within our Global community of sharing peace with dance, we are creating a themed landscape tale where people can come together to be co-creators in our story that heightens our creativity, brings us closer together, and transforms our lives. Everyone is a part of our story. From the performers, to our staff, vendors and participants we are all a part of our creative transformation. Like a cosmic web, together we are we are spreading our love in infinite directions through our natural creative forces.
