If "Trax From The Back Of The Sofa" was intended to be an unleashing of the sounds of a Strange Riddims party, Vol II is a parable of the 24 hours from the doors opening, dismantling the dancefloor, and a convoy of taxis to some unfortunate volunteer's house. 

Hewn from the quarry of dubs, edits, bootlegs and originals behind the Strange doors, TFTBOTSVOL2 erratically flits between bombastic club material and candid artefacts of the after-hours sessions over the past 4 years. The compilation expands on its prequel not only in volume and breadth of sound, but also in its pervasion of the personality and atmosphere of the Strange Riddims extended family. 

Special thanks as always to all Strange ravers, the straight thru crew, and anybody outside of Manchester who has shown love, bought a track or two or turned somebody on to what we're doing. Don't be a stranger.

This track was actually supposed to be on the Khadijah Volume 6 release, I thought it would be a nice surprise later down the line. I was stepping out of the box and I wanted it to sound that way. I wanted to dive more into my silly-bouncy personality and transfer that into my music!

Most of my inspiration comes from the naturalness of rhythm. I was about 8 years when I walked past a moving train near my house and I heard the beat the tracks and wheels were making together and at that point, I knew music was everywhere and everything, at least the beat for it. Discovery impacts my work so much, the more I see and hear the more I feel like changing them to be something else. The world is constantly new to me, music is such uncharted territory sometimes. The more I find, the better the experience gets.

It’s my air. I don’t know who or where I’d be if music didn’t touch my soul the way it constantly does. It moves all through me, all through my hands, feet, my mind, even when I’m not trying. And usually, I'm not.
