'2 Far Gone' EP by SI-FI is a four-track release presenting a subtle blend of break beat, 2-step and garage rhythms all deftly interwoven with some seriously clever and sumptuous hooks and melodies.
Up first is Your 'Restless Eyes', a beautiful breakbeat tune featuring haunting vocals, gorgeous melody lines and bass sections harking back to the early days of jungle and drum & bass. Next is '2 Far Gone', an exquisite 2-step vocal infused number subtly laced with shimmering synth riffs and elegant, emotional pads. In at the third spot is 'Stop At Nothing', a melancholic 2-step tune which expertly blends numerous dance music tropes – organs, Reese bass, vocal stabs - into one seamless and poignant whole. Wrapping things up is 'Talk', a more garage tinged, urban style jam laced with piano motifs, sensitive vocal refrains and a super warm and fuzzy bassline.

It’s been a year since Francis Inferno Orchestra’s last hit for Superconscious Records ’Harmony’ shredded it’s way into record bags across the globe, Now, twelve months on, he returns with his latest 12’ 'Oasis and A Time'. The A-side consists of two versions of the lead track ’Oasis'. The 'Celestial Body Mix’ which is a dreamy uptempo dance escape, and the 'Erotikk Mix' which gives a nod to early Italian DFC records and the sounds of Deep Forest. For its second release Houseum Records link up with Ricky Razu, whose renowned talents have quickly garnered him a great deal of attention within the global House scene. The Belgian reveals 'Cycles', a debut solo EP built to warm the body as the winter season approaches thanks to the four tracks pulsing with luminous and captivating beats.

‘Without U’ is a solid opener with strong deep and groovy tones. The catchy kick and sweet samples make it a proper dancefloor delight. The main title track 'Cycles' is a dynamic lullaby that sends waves of relaxation through you. The producer unveils a melodic house that blends perfectly with the high perched vocal.

The B side is just as enchanting - 'Crystal Height' is a true shot of your daily vitamin C with it's sunlit sequences. 'Hiding' lands in style, revealing a more breakaway house with dreamy synths. A touch of hypnotic grooves with an atmospheric rhythm, what more could we ask for?

To combine the essential elements of dub techno with a 90s Chicago house ear for melody and hooks, is a feat few have crafted but producer duo Foreach from Vilnius / Brighton has executed this in masterful fashion. In this dream-like tune, floating mediations of dub stabs and a dancing synth lead lay down the groundwork for the deeply emotive “Rainy Day.” Reflective energy permeates through the track, as the listener weaves through the carefully placed breaks and build-ups.
