This set was made on a wonderful late afternoon in the Chiltern Hills UK, accompanied by a perfect sun/wind/cloud-mix and the most beautiful audience I could imagine.
Maybe more of a selector set, at least  something for lovers of diverse music :)

Avenue Red Podcast presents Kindred Music SA (real name Mckai Du Toit), a Cape Town and Johannesburg based artist who grew up in South Africa. He is an artist who enjoys designing and creating interesting atmospheric and ambient melodies and grooves inspired by downtempo, techno and house music. He released his debut album "Exposed" in March of 2021 on his label Pocket Food Audio, and has since featured on platforms such as DeepStitched, Hello Strange, SPACE VIEW X, Slow Sessions and Apnea to name a few.

Kindred Music SA started playing acoustic instruments at an early age, inspired by rock, soul, reggae and jazz from the era of the early 60s up to the late 90s. Later on he developed a passion for the endless possibilities electronic music had to offer, thusly evolving into an electronic music composer, producer, performer and DJ, with an enormous passion.

This session is quite short but very sweet and a refreshing tonic for the day of release, which is the longest day of the year - the summer solstice of 21st June 2023.

Avenue Red Podcast #224 - Kindred Music SA

Swedish artist https://soundcloud.com/haraldbjork started releasing music around 2006 as a youngster living in Berlin. After releases on Traum Schallplatten he founded his own label Kranglan Broadcast as an outlet for own works and remixers. Over the years Harald has brought onboard hisfavourite artists and musical friendships such as Ada, Axel Boman, Extrawelt, Fairmont, Justus Köhncke, Skudge and many more.

Internationally Harald has toured mostly as live act with a nerdy focus on carrying loads of synthesisers, drum machines and mixing desks while at home in Stockholm done like mostSwedish electronic music producers do at home, playing records at the many bars and restaurants available.

In 2015 Harald released a 12” EP plus a 7” single on Studio Barnhus followed by the album Kris- & Konflikthantering. The track Sabor Latino got heavy rotation on Ibiza and ended up on the compilation The Sound Of The 17th Season by Sven Väth. A musical friendship completing the circle of Väth playing Harald’s early releases on Traum. Following year Harald debuted with his first Cocoon release "Spring" on the Cocoon Compilation Q. Followed by the album Shiftings, 2020.

Harald’s most recent releases stretch from remixes of Jeremy Olander and MOLØ on Vivrantto album remixes of old Border Community friends The MFA on Traum and further onto compilation features on Gregor Tresher’s Breaking New Soil series.

PROMESSA is the first 1-hour set, I had the pleasure of mixing for the SPEZIALMATERIAL setblock on GDS.FM released on November 21st 2023. 
For this occasion, I put together a fluid, driving & spherical techno set with the aim of reflecting techno’s multi-layered, explorative & mystical aesthetic that I cherish so much. Enjoy the ride 🪐
